Love this course. play it all the time. best course in the area

The course has improved the overall conditions of the greens an fairways to an excellent rating. The bunkers are a massive work in progress but they are making great improvements.

Been hearing that Atchafalaya is going downhill etc

But I love this course and many people do.

Bunkers are being repaired and they are doing their best

Overall I think the course is doing great, could it be better, yes but it’s not bad at all and I play all over.

Fairways were great and so glad their not very firm like they use to be.

Greens in are great, practice facility is great, and the GUMBO is phenomenal

Course will be awesome again when the sand bunkers are updated and repaired.

Bring your "A" game and you will be fine! The course is tough but fair. Great course, bunkers need work but who wants to play bunkers anyways, lol! A round that will be memorable.

The stars of any golf course are the greens an sand traps. They are also where the most maintenance money needs to be spent.

The greens have patch’s of damaged areas , weeds have started to take over , bumpy spots

The traps are being worked on but most have overgrown with weeds. There are to many traps an they are to big. A maintenance night mark

The course has excellent bones An a design that awesome just not enough players to support the maintenance budget.

This course has been one of my favorites to play. Layout is great and is challenging for all handicap levels. Bunkers had a lot of grass in them, but now they are getting a complete overhaul and progress is very nice.

Great course, but too may hills. Even if you were in the middle of the fairway there was a chance you were on some kind of slope. Well maintained. Wide fairways. Greens were nice. None of the bunkers were playable. They need a lot of work.

The bunkers were in awful condition and most of them had no sand. I lost a ball in one bunker that had so much grass. The greens contained a lot of poa annua. I like the lay out of the course, but won't go back for a while.

Course was fun to play. Greens and bunkers are not in good shape but looks like they are working on them.

Roughs were high and all sand traps were grown over

First let me say I'm a 15 handicap who is handicapped and am a relatively short hitter (Drive about 220, down from there). The five different lengths at this course work beautifully for me, I'm typically playing the 2nd or 3rd shortest tees depending on how I'm feeling. My round today was a great experience with just a few exceptions.

First, they have let almost every bunker grow over this summer and they are now waste areas. I hit out of a few with no problems, but was not required. But very few actual sandy bunkers.

The greens were receptive, and rolled true today, even though there are still spots with no grass and just sand. Been like that for a very long time.

I've always been fascinated by the layout, S-curve par 5's and lots of trouble around, water, woods, swamp, you name it. On days like today, with gorgeous weather, I welcomed it.

My only real concern is that for the last few months I've been able to play a ton of high end courses in the City (Idlewild is in the middle of relative nowhere) during the day on a Friday or Thursday for around $30-$35. Paying $63 today was the most I've paid for a round in a very long time, especially for a 2:00 tee time on a Friday.

I do recommend this course, in a 50 mile radius of it there is nothing even close to the quality, maybe that's why the prices are high.
