Unfortunately the course must have been under renovation because the sand traps should have been called grass traps. Overall the course is fun but in 5 years of playing it it was in the worst condition I've ever seen it.

the course has continued to decline over the last couple of years. The bunkers were absolutely unplayable . The greens are in decline. This was at one point a course that was impressive no longer. Still charging nearly $70 for a round not worth the money.

The overall condition was excellent. Fairways are green an lush an the greens are in great shape. Only negative are the bunkers which have grass and weeds. We played it as ground under repair.

Holes 1-9 are closed for maintenance. Understand the need to perform maintenance just wish I was posted on the webpage before I paid. Holes 10- 18 are in great shape.

Played from the tips. The back tee boxes needed a little TLC but wonderful layout and fun course.

Grounds look like someone gave up on them. All the sand traps are full of grass and weeds. A bunch of areas are just not as nice as they use to be.

Born and raised in the area I have had the opportunity to play this course many times over the years and what once was a top 5 course in the state is no longer so. What I have grown to expect is a beautiful course with daunting hills, bunkers, and hazards that will punish you for that misplaced approach shot when you shoot for pin high instead of playing safe to the middle of the green.

With life changes and a move to the Lafayette area, I have no longer been able to play this course nearly as often as there are many local options for when we decide to play. Leaving atchafalaya as the option for when the friends and I are back in town visiting family.

We booked a round for this past Sunday and were shocked we paid a full $60 fee each to play a course in such conditions.

The fairways were nice, the rough was ok overall, neglected in some areas, and mostly maintained elsewhere. The bunkers, however, looked like jungles. So tall/thick of grass that one of my fairway shots that happened to fall a hair shorter than normal landed in and stuck in a fairway bunker to the extent I could not locate the ball after hacking at the grass with a wedge for 5-10 minutes.

The greens were mostly maintained, however, several seemed to be scalped from a rookie on the mower just learning the proper way to cut the greens.

I am not one to typically leave a review, however, this trip just left me disgusted overall for the conditions the course was in for the amount they want people to pay.

Attempted to book tee time website was acting up, tried again 10 minutes later and it worked but ended up booking it twice when all I wanted was on. So ended up paying 50 instead of 25. No way to contact you guys to straighten it out, should have some kind of number to call in case something like that happens, golf course says it up to golfnow to straighten it out. How can I when there is no number to call and talk to someone

I have played many courses in the area and this place is always my favorite. I'm an18 hcp 61 year old and play from the owl tees. Just tough enough to challenge but just safe enough to allow a few pars and a birdie from time to time. I will always come back. Also, the clubhouse has great food, great staff and the place is beautiful!

All bunkers on course were overgrown with grass and were considered as unplayable, fairways and greens were in ok shape with scattered balled patches. As always though great layout and scenery, just poorly maintained currently.
