Bunkers need some work but still great place to play

Only course I’ve ever been to that charged for you to have your kids with you. I was checking in and the lady asked if that was my kid and I said yes then she said does he play and I said a little bit then she charged an extra $30. I was shocked and said I’ve never heard of anyone charging for Children before, then she looked at me like I was weird. I will still play here but seldom now and I will be harboring some animosity when I do play. Too bad I loved this course. So it’s a great course if you don’t have young kids, that like to tag along. I want my sons to love golf and would be fine with paying if everyone charged, and will be fine paying once they are teenagers.

I enjoy playing Atchafalaya it a great halfway meeting point for my cousin and I. The food aftwards is always great. The course could sure use some work but overall it was playable and challenging.

This course is basically a representation of LA wildlife and culture. You’ll see alligators, raccoons and I’ve heard of people seeing bears. Course is very challenging and long. So bring your A-game. Kitchen has good food also

The course is great I don’t care to play anywhere else.very picturesque ,loads of wildlife for viewing.the sand traps need work that’s about it just a pleasure to play at atchafalaya.

I have played this course several times. It is challenging layout and a real test for any golfer. Only negative is the bunkers if they were redone with crushed granite and better drainage they would be one of the top courses in the state of Louisiana!!

Their staff in pro shop is great. The Resturant staff and food are really great.!!

I have enjoyed every time I have played there!!.

Looking forward to playing as soon as the rain allows a dry out.

Course was a little wet but in good shape except for the sand traps which are all considered ground under repair.

1st I can’t say enough about the staff especially Lacey for her help... with a hurricane approaching and being we were coming from Lafayette to play I wanted to make sure they were open and it wasn’t cart path only.. she found out the info for me and politely called me back within 15 minutes... 2nd, we were greeted with all smiles from the staff there and even though the greens were punched and sanded they were very much playable and the course was in excellent shape....well worth the money, well worth the drive... we will return... THANK YOU

Play at this course all the time! Must see it to appreciate it!
