The Atchafalaya at Idlewild

Played this course again despite last time having a school tournament and had to follow kids some of which appear to lack the love for the game and some that clearly lack the skills/etiquette to be on a tournament. Yesterday, the back 9 was undergoing maintenance and nobody told us until we were there to check-in. The problem is that I live 35 miles away, otherwise I would have asked for a reimbursement. This is not their fault necessarily but Golf Now who is getting their money no matter what. Next time I will check with the course first.

Great day at a top notch course. Very challenging and always in perfect condition.

Love playing this course. Great layout and greens in good shape. Only knock is that fairways are a little thin. Fun day of golf.

Sand traps are in bad condition mud in some traps and very hard packed sand,

Also most par 5 holes and most par 4 holes have extremely short grass on fairways it's like hitting the ball on concrete need to cut grass on fairways way less often still a beautiful course

Course took on a lot of rain the day before of tee time. But was in great playable shape. All in all a fun day at a great course.

This course is truly amazing; a gem in Cajun country. It is beautiful, but challenging. I am originally from this area, but live in Texas. Every time I go home for a visit, this is on my list of things to do.

Will be coming back both course and food was great.

Whenever you have a cart problem they are there immediately to give you a new cart or handle any problem you might have.used to have problems booking on GolfNow through this course but it's been a long time with any booking problems most of the problems were internet trouble at clubhouse .

I have played this course several times but it’s a 1-hour trip for me and don’t want to add insult to injury by paying full price. This is one of the best courses I have played in terms of drainage 24 hours after a rainy day. Most of the time even after a moderate rainy day they have a 90 degree rule. In terms of the conditions the course is acceptable but not pristine conditions. The Pro-shop people are very nice as the restaurant waiters are. They have a spring special for $39.95 for which you could play better courses in, let say, Florida.

Fun round of golf. Course was in very good shape. Always enjoy playing this course. Only negative.....club house was hosting a private event, so their was no access to food or drinks and no beverage cart. Not good.

As always enjoyed a great day at a great golf course. Everything was perfect.

Didn’t like the bunkers the sand was crusty and hard to play from. They didn’t look like they had been taken care of. The fairways were pretty good. The greens were a little bumpy. But I liked the course and will play it again next time I’m in the area. Enjoyed the course and the guys I played with.
