Top public course
I've played most of the courses in this area and Calusa Lakes is by far one of the best around. We'll kept from Tee box to green. I highly recommend playing this course.
Great course
Was very surprised. I played here about 10, maybe 12 yrs ago. Course was just ok. Big, big improvement over what it was. Tees excellent. Fairways very good. Even rough and bunkers were very good. Greens were excellent although a little on the slow side, but otherwise best in the area.
Huge Improvement
Played here about 4 years ago was very disappointed, played here now and was very impressed… New management is doing a great job and kudos to their team.. Had a great time!
They sid not honor my paid tee time from golf now!!
The course was good but I had to pay twice to play as they did not honor my prepaid golf now. I even scree shot it after I paid. Someone came in behind me qnd the same thing happened to him.
First time at Calusa!
The price I got from Tee Off was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice and beautiful the course is! Houses are close on some holes but I did not break anything! Greens were not the light fast type that I despise but were more to my liking. If you have a chance get out and play here!
Good day
Not terribly busy in the afternoon. What seemed like walking members were very accommodating to my single play in a cart. Only problem was I had to play only one ball as played through, rough life. Greens grass was a bit slow but ran true as I learned the grass type. Sand was quality, almost wished for more shots, almost.
Quick summer round
As you might expect Florida is brutally hot in the summer, but I breezed around in less than 3 hours. The course is in fine shape, particularly the greens, that held approach shots very well. The fairways were in good shape, and shots were also playable from the rough.
Calusa Lakes
I play here about every other week with a group, this course is in fantastic shape, best it's ever been! Greens are very nice, medium size and quite fast, really good track. This can be a challenging course but fair, you'll enjoy.
