El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. Quick round
Played in under 3 hrs.. course condition ok, a number of tee boxes needed attention. But a good value for the money.
Rude staff & course a mess!
After teeing off 1st hole we found course completely unplayable being looged with 3 inches of mud in fairways and everywhere. Why weren't we notified beforehand? My wife has alzheimer's and I like to keep her active but she slipped and fell in mud twice on first hole. We went straight back to clubhouse just 5 minutes after tee off to have an elderly lady say too bad no refunds. I explained we dont want refund but credit to play when safe for my wife. The old lady was degrading and downright rude! STAY AWAY!
Tee boxes need some love
Great course but the tee boxes were all pretty much dirt with very sparse grass. Loved the rest!

The course was nice, Greens were in need of some grass, but all in all, it was a nice outing!
Greens getting aerated so they are slow right now.
Fun course to play. If you slice, the trouble is on the right by design. Hit a straight ball and you can avoid the water hazards.
Just okay
Just okay for an executive course. Due to heavy rain, back nine was not playable. Not the courses fault. If you want to practice your short game or a beginner, not too bad. Might try it again.

Fun Course
My son and I always enjoy ourselves at El Rio.
Is it a PGA course or one of the areas best? Of course not. But it is enjoyable and challenging in its own way.
Have an open mind and give it a try.
Great Practice Course For Your Irons.
Friendly staff, besides the tee boxes… the course was in really well condition. I played El Rio many times. Maybe because the snowbirds left and it was a weekday.
All fairways and greens well groomed. The sand traps had been raked and i continued to see the crew working hard.
Tee boxes for blue tees were not in good shape. Hardly any grass. Mostly dirt. I would suggest you purchase some sod.
Overall the course played fast and I shot a 61.

Very Consistent
Always can get a good hot deal here and you can always count on it being in decent condition. They try really hard to keep the grass up and if the tee boxes are bad they just move them so you aren’t hitting off the worst areas.
