El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. It's an ideal course for beginners who are looking to get in some practice on a full-length course. The layout consists of mostly par 3s and most of the holes are on the shorter side. Though it's a seemingly simple design, the greens have slopes that range from subtle to dramatic, which can make determining your approach to them a daunting task. El Rio
El Rio is El Rio. The course is old and beat up. Tee boxes show mostly sand, not much grass. Fairways are not bad and sand traps were maintained. The greens were inconsistent and beat up.
I think people that play here are aware of the conditions as we are. Its a good alternative to other overpriced courses when its hard to get tee times.
Just believe the $50.00 is too much for the lack of upkeep. Will I play again? Yes

Most reasonable place to play in peak season
I don’t think you can play anywhere else cheaper than here in the winter and spring.. the course is a little rough but it is easy to walk .The staff are nice and if you play after 12 it is usually not to crowded.

El Rio weekend test
This was our first time playing this course and it was a little difficult to find and the course was a little rough. Greens need a little care. We probably won't play this course again because there a just so many similar courses that are in much better shape

Tee Repairs
Tee areas need to have new grass laid down. Some are so bad, they look like a mine field.. the rest of the course is in decent shape.
