El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. It's an ideal course for beginners who are looking to get in some practice on a full-length course. The layout consists of mostly par 3s and most of the holes are on the shorter side. Though it's a seemingly simple design, the greens have slopes that range from subtle to dramatic, which can make determining your approach to them a daunting task. Outstanding experience
We played El Rio for the first time and can’t wait to book another tee time. The course and club staff are awesome.
We plan to introduce our friends to the El Rio features!
Rude guy in pro shop
Came in as a single and asked if I could get out early. He told me in a very rude manner that they were completely booked solid. I watched as almost every group went out as a twosome including the three twosomes in front of my tee time. Not only was the tea boxes and the greens horrible. If you don’t have the best golf course in the world you should probably not lie to your customers and definitely you should be nicer

Slow
Booked 2 oclock tee time. 240 finally teed off. Waited on every hole. Almost 4 hours for a course this size was incredibly slow.

Average short- course layout
Slow pace, busy course, poorly run.
Burn outs in rough and a little in some fairways.. some greens are patchy.
4o late to start after tee time.
