El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. It's an ideal course for beginners who are looking to get in some practice on a full-length course. The layout consists of mostly par 3s and most of the holes are on the shorter side. Though it's a seemingly simple design, the greens have slopes that range from subtle to dramatic, which can make determining your approach to them a daunting task. Goat Track/ with rude employee
Do not waste your money at this course. Extremely RUDE, condescending woman working the counter on the afternoon of the 16th of April 2021. I’m fairly confident she must be a relative of the owner because she shouldn’t be allowed to interact with customers. This place charges full price even if you only golf 9 holes. They could have simply charged us for one full round of golf but instead chose to charge 40.00 for nine holes stating that was the company policy. News flash, your company policy sucks as does your course. With all the money you are extorting from customers, put some of it back into the course. Tee to green is terrible. No exceptions, no excuses. With so many other options within 5-10 minutes of this goat track I would suggest potential golfers take an extra minute or two and do a search. If you choose this sorry excuse for a course, you will be very disappointed. Unfortunately the other couple we golfed with made the tee time. They were as disappointed and dissatisfied as we were. If zero stars were available, this place wouldn’t have rated one.
Very disappointed
My wife booked a tee time for Monday. She thought it was Tuesday at 3:10. We got ready and when we got there a man came in from outside and said what can I held you with. I said I have a tee time for 3:10. He said: No you don't. I said my wife booked it. He said the last tee time today is 2pm. When I asked if there was any way we could play he said we would have to be done by 5. He said what we would have to pay was the same and could not give us a deal even though there is no way we could play 18 holes. We did not appreciate his attitude at all. We are full time residents and I wanted my wife to play somethiing different. The last time I played here with some friends visiting from out of state we had a hard time figuring where the next hole was located because it was not marked well. The fairways are really close to each other. We live close to there and I don't think they will ever get any of our money.
Tee boxes?
Tee boxes need a fair amount of work...very little grass, and the pace of play was slow...

Executive Course
Very disappointed to learn it was par 60, and only 3000 yards! A mistake I won’t make again..... my fault!
Tees and greens are poor as is everything thing in between!

Great Place To Spend Time With Locals But REALLT Slow
First time playing here. Play was incredibly slow. We quit after hole 13 and at that time we were almost 3+ hours into the round. Most would say, "That's not bad." But this is only a 3000-yard course.
Still the enjoyable part was spending waiting time with the foursome in front of us and pair behind us. Fantastic people.
Price is very reasonable.

Fun course
I have lost all respect for the two staff member's at the course. I shot a hole in one on the ninth hole, came into the club house and the response from the staff was crickets! Really nothing, crickets! All the other golfers were ecstatic and hi fiving.
