El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. It's an ideal course for beginners who are looking to get in some practice on a full-length course. The layout consists of mostly par 3s and most of the holes are on the shorter side. Fun course
I have lost all respect for the two staff member's at the course. I shot a hole in one on the ninth hole, came into the club house and the response from the staff was crickets! Really nothing, crickets! All the other golfers were ecstatic and hi fiving.

This is an excellent course I played with two ladies just starting to play, they did not feel at all pushed or embarrassed at all for taking a little more time to try to learn the game. I would recommend the course to any golfer good or bad. What the course makes up for lack of length for the long drivers, the greens and the short game will make you a better golfer for playing this course. Great value after three in the afternoon. We will all play again.
Easy course
Staff is great and friendly. Course is average for the money.
Course is easy to play. Greens are very dry but in not bad of a shape. A lots of very slow players, you have to be a patient golfer.
Play the course often through the winter.

Easy to get on this course
This time of year it is difficult to get on local courses for a decent price. I work on my short game here. Easy to book an afternoon tee time, not too crowded. Course was in decent shape, tee boxes a little beat up but they are getting a lot of play.
Course layout
Very little water in play, minimal sand traps. Short course great for iron practice
Front 9 moved along nicely. Completed in 1 hour and 10.minutes. Back 9 was very slow. Had to wait every shot. Back ups on tee box often 3 deep. Didn't spread out until 17th hole. A ranger monitoring the course might have sped up.the slow play. It took 2 hours and 5 minutes to.plsy the back 9.
Good value during high season, good course to work on short game. No complaints

This is a fun Executive course in pretty nice shape. Staff is friendly but play was a bit slow.
