El Rio Golf Club
About
El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. It's an ideal course for beginners who are looking to get in some practice on a full-length course. The layout consists of mostly par 3s and most of the holes are on the shorter side. Though it's a seemingly simple design, the greens have slopes that range from subtle to dramatic, which can make determining your approach to them a daunting task. Trees that line the fairways demand accuracy but the landing areas are generous. El Rio Golf Course has a pace of play that makes it convenient if you're looking for a quick round and the layout is gentle enough for beginners, and even junior players, to tackle with confidence.

El Rio
This is a fun executive course that is in great condition. It has some challenging holes such as the 17th which is a tight dogleg Par 3.
elrio short course
Always loved this course for an executive type course but the fairways don't seem to be taken care of properly. There is no such thing as bump and run. You get the distance you hit in air. No roll. Greens are okay but not as good as in previous years
Great course
Awesome. Course was in great shape and the staff very friendly. Don't let the description of executive course fool you. You better have your short irons down !! I would recommend this course. We will definitely be back. Thanks
A good course to practice with your irons!
Course offer a variety of par three yardages that allows use of every club in your bag!
Good day on the course
Nice executive course. Great place to practice with irons typically do no have opportunity to use on regulation course. Mostly straight forward golf holes with a few water hazards. Traps need new sand but fortunately didn't go in any so it was a non issue. Great day, quick pace.
Nice executive course.
Course was quite nice and we'll maintained for an executive course. Not too much water, never lost a ball. Still had a few challenging holes. Great to work on your iron game.
A Fort Myers Must Play!
Nice Course somewhat Challenging, Staff was excellent, Clean Carts. Cold Beer ! , Great Dogs, be back asap!
Nice golf day
have played there a few times, not as crowded as in season. can not beat it for the price that was offered1
course is good for practice irons
The greens are drying out have patches of bare spots fairways are dry was a nice course seems not being watered.
Good value
Greens were in great condition but slow. Small greens make accuracy a requirement. A few challenging holes, but generally a straightforward, very playable short course. Nice change of pace from ultra-long, crowded upscale courses in the area. Will play here again.
Great if 18 is too much.
I went with some friends one of whom was worried about 18 holes taking too long. We had a cart this time and it wasn't all that busy. Being a par 60 course we finished up in just over 3 hours. We shopped around for the discounted tee time which made it a great value and a good day out.
can't go wrong
nice little course, a couple of challenging holes, in decent shape, excellent walking course
course needs water
great value as booked thru golf discount
and for $15 i'm not moaning but the course needs some minor water on fairways and on off line
great experience
A well maintained course for a low price. I will play this course again.
EXCELLENT BUY!!!
Friendly staff and well run! All of our party and more play this course as much as possible!
Rained out
Only played a few holes before being hammered by rain. The holes I did play were in pretty good shape. They were kind enough to give me a voucher so I cant wait to play there again.
Nice par3
missed the part about the course being a par3 but played anyway. Got teamed up with two really nice locals. And we had a very pleasant round. if pace was better it would be a nice course for players at all levels.
Fun par 3
Played with my wife and two other gents joined us. Played in 4 hours and had a great time there. Greens were very good and most of the par 3's had small greens which made it and challenging little course. Would play again.
Nice Little Course
I was pleasantly surprised.
Played here with my wife and daughter. As is par for the course at most Exec Courses there were 2 groups on every tee but moved along in under 4 hours. Best part were the greens that were unexpected, most of the other courses of this type have really bad greens but these had grass on them and weren't to bumpy just a little slow.
We had a great time as the other groups in front and behind were quite friendly so it made it more enjoyable.
We will be back.
A "Dogleg par 3" Are you serious??? How is this played; ricochet off a tree from your tee shot on to the green then a regulation 2 putt for Par? Or are you thinking two shots to the green and with a "birdie" putt you get a par???? Seriously.
