Sub Div golf
Friendly staff, nicely maintained and very convivial 19th hole but very typical subdivision golf. Too tight because the houses were the priority and too much water in play because of the need for fill dirt. Not suited for my game (read sprayer).
Beautiful Day, Good Round
Nice executive course. Water gives it challenge as do some of the sloped greens. Only con is some tee boxes need to be leveled. Good value for the money. Clubhouse is very nice and food is good.
Good course to practice your short game
Called course, $24.00 all day, no discount for time of day. Golf now, $17.00. Good deal! Arrived half hour early for a 11:47 tee time. Nobody on the practice green or in site on the course. Asked if we could tee off early...NO! Golf now has two tee times each day. I asked if there was anyone ahead of us, NO! Your tee time is 11:47. OK, so we practiced on their tiny practice green. Tee blocks could be more level and in better shape....overall OK course for your short game, worth $17.00. Friendly gate lady!
First timer
The course was well kept, greens and fairways were in good condition. Somewhat tight fairways but expected , enjoyed my play, would play again with friends and recommend to someone that wants to work on their short game.
Saved money
We got round for 10.00 but will not go back. Greens were very bumpy and pace of play was bad.
This course has a rude golf pro
I've played at least 500 rounds alot through golf now and 20 to 30 times at sabal springs never had a problem I've never been talked to on a course the way their new pro did he got into a argument with my father and after we got the keys to the carts we were in the parking lot loading the carts he came across the lot to argue with my brother after a minute of them both yelling and cursing each other we were told to leave and we weren't welcome back never been treated at a course like that and will never go back.
Great course and clubhouse
The course is great, club house is very big with bar, great view coming into 18 with the clubhouse sitting on the water. Also has a range hitting floating balls into the water with targets , very cool
Iron practice
While I'm not a fan of par 60 courses, this course has some unique holes. Others have mentioned the water that comes into play, but didn't mention how close the houses are which adds to the perspective that you have very little room to miss. I thought the course was in really good shape. No starter, but pro shop staff was very friendly. Wife and I played 18 in a little over 2.5 hours. One issue, electric carts, and ours barely made it back to clubhouse. Was told they were new carts so not sure what the issue was.
Challenging
Very challenging course not for the beginner narrow fairways some as narrow as 10 to 12 feet a lot of water it is a great course if you like a challenge
Pro shop horror
The man working the pro shop was by far the most rude person I have ever encountered in my 73 years of life. I got to Sable Springs at exactly 12:00 and have to check in at the gate. There was a car in front of me that took 8 minutes to get thru for some unknown reason to me. It took me another 2 minutes. Then met my friend at their resturant for lunch. At around 12:15 I called the pro shop to tell them I may be a few minutes late. He said there is a 7 minute limit. We got there at 12:40 for a 12:36 time, 4 minutes late and he went on about getting there earlyier if we want to ever play there. I told him of the problem at gate but he said that's no excuse and started getting extremely rude. He said If I don't like the way they run things I don't have to play there anymore. My friend then said we're out of here so we left.. The fact is I will never play there again. And by the way there was nobody else there so we weren't holding anyone up. But Golf Now did credit me my money back after I explained what had happened and they apologized for what had happened and is sending me a dozen of Top Flight golf balls for my troubles.
Nice Little Executive Course
Nice little executive course that is worth a visit. Pace of play is good and hardly ever a back up.
The Pro shop needs a little help in customer service as to not be so crabby and let singles go ahead and play instead of having to wait for another golfer to pair up with.
Good time. Good value!!
We got a great deal and everything went great!!
A Great Gordon Lewis Executive Course!
I enjoyed my round on this nicely layed-out Gordon Lewis executive course. I have found Gordon Lewis designed courses always a pleasure to play & this was no exception. Anytime that I'm short on time, I will play an executive course & work on my short game. I have to say that this is probably one of the best executive courses that I've ever played & will definitely go back. A very pleasant golf experience & meeting a pair of really good guys made it exceptional.
Water Water Everywhere
Relatively narrow fairways with lots of water. Challenging course or those who don't hit straight. Lots o fun
Tight with lots of water
This course was lot of fun to play but water present on most holes. Precise tee shots required or you get wet. Greens are lush and take some getting used to. For an inexperienced golfer it was tough as the short game is tantamount.
Nice short course
Came as single and was priced w/ threesome. Course improved a lot from last year.
Nice Course
Good course!! Played blue tees. Can use all your clubs. Fairways tight with water often. Course is in GREAT shape!!!
Houses too close
The homeowners yards extend so far out that the OB markers allow for very little rough. If you are not in the fairway, you are probably OB. So if you are the type of player that hits a bad shot, but often saves the hole with the next shot, this course is not for you.
Fun little course
Quick 18 holes. Great practice for your short game. Some tight holes. Accuracy important.
