Lake Diamond Golf & Country Club

This was our first time playing this course and the pace of play was horrendous. It took over 3 hours to play 8 holes. After that we were over it. The course conditions weee ok. They did have grass in the fairways and the greens weee in decent shape. There’s no ranger to speed up play. We were a twosome and the foursome in front of us would not allow us to play through. We are NOT coming back unless they can tell us the pace of play has improved.

It is an interesting course with retention areas in play if you miss the fairway.

Internet was down. The guy in the morning was writing green fees on yellow post its so all could pay after their round. However, upon finishing I learned that Internet was still down. The next gentleman was taking CC information so he could do the data entry later. He disappeared in to the back for several minutes, leaving EVERYONE'S CC info including pins and three digit codes right on the counter in front of me to steal (WHICH I DID NOT)! When he returned I informed him what a bad idea that was. I made him rip my information off of the page and asked him not to leave it out for everyone to see. He then disappeared for several more minutes. When the couple I was golfing with came in and saw what he was up to, They also refused to leave CC information with him. I ended up going to an ATM to get money and came back to pay cash. Having the internet down is an inconvenience I understand. This guy clearly could not handle the situation and was way over his head. Being a jerk about it did not help.

First time here. Paired with a single who played the course. Nice layout. Generous fairways on most of the holes. Greens were great. Bunkers good. There must be a rake shortage in Florida. Good value for the money. Not much of a clubhouse.

Things started badly, but the first gentleman in the morning did very well in the pro shop. We were on paper (internet down) and to pay upon return to the pro shop after our round.

The next gentleman I dealt with was not having a very good day. He did not handle the stress of the Comcast®️ outage at well at all. He was manually writing down everyone's credit card information with pens and three digit access codes to enter the information at a later time. He then left for a very long time to another room in the back and left everyone's information right on the counter for me to read and record (which I DID NOT). When he came back, I asked him kindly to not leave that information where everyone could get to it and explain to him what I could have done. Once again he did nothing but move it five feet away from me and disappeared again. The nice lady I was grouped with came in as well and would not give her information. I asked him to rip the bottom of that page off and give it to me so I could destroy my CC info. I ended up going to an ATM and paid them with tip. VERY disappointed the way things are handled here and I will not be back nor will I recommend anyone to golf here, there are enough other places.

It was a joy to hit the ball setting on grass for a change.,.

Had a great time and the condition of the course was excellent....... will be back frequently.

Always enjoy playing here. Great layout, well maintained fairways and greens. Very friendly Staff! Brings me back again and again.
