Crane Watch Club

This was the second time I played this course. The course layout and conditions were fine. I’m used to regular grass up in NY, not whatever they use down here. But that’s my problem. The first time was fine. There was a frost delay about an hour.. the starter moved me up to the first group and we played in three hours, great. The second time I had booked a 7:24 tee time.. I got there when I was suppose to but the course had me down for 7am. So the starter sent me out by myself behind 3 foursomes.. I was so aggravated waiting on every shot that I quit after 9 holes..

Like the new hole laysouts. Greens have a lot of burn fertilizer marks that hamper putting.

Overall pretty good. Greens good. Fairways a little thin, but lots of roll. Good company as well. Definitely will be back.

Pace too slow on 6 holes.

A 2some cut in front of us and joined another 2some. This 4some was pretty slow.

we finished in 4.45 hrs - should have been 4:15

did not use any off course amenities.

This is a fun course if you can put it on the fairway. There was plenty of roll in the fairway that made approaches shorter. The greens were very soft and receptive, but also fast. The trick is the layout. There are some holes where a sharp hook is needed. Another par 4 hole has a reachable pond in front of the green that you can’t see from the tee. Some of the short par 4s are very tight driving holes, so you don’t need a driver. Overall a fun course. I had 2 birdies, my partner had 3 birds. But I also lost 4 balls.

Beautiful course conditions from tee to green. Greens were fast but not too fast. Some big improvements on the back 9 make two of the holes more playable. Excellent sand in the bunkers. Greens rolled well but can be hard to read. Layout is challenging but fair. Good value.

Nothing special about the layout but the conditions and distance are good for a FL public track. Clubhouse and common areas are excellent. Pace for FL is very good.

Nice golf course but the groomers work. It would be good too have a course layout on the tee boxes and score cards.

We have played this course every year on vacation for 4 years. This is the best the course has been. The greens rolled good and smooth. It looks like they have had the right amount of rain. Fairways are nice and green . Makes it easier to hit off of. We played early and beat the crowd.

4 tee boxes so choose what works for you. Nearly 7,200 at the pro tees. Plenty of trouble but plenty of space to land the ball. Greens very quick, 95% of the traps looked like something off the PGA tour. They are working on this course like crazy. Conditions good. Should be spectacular as we move through time. You'll definitely want to play this one
