About
Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

Incredible greens
The greens are the best I have played anywhere this year.
I love the layout of the course, championship quality layout.
Not a course to walk as there is long stretches between holes.
Staff and employees are super friendly.
One negative, no starter; and no Marshall to require larger groups to let slower groups play through.
One of my favorite courses this year!
Inconvenienced
Had a tee time here but was a very large group playing starting and the cashier offered to move us to heron bay which we did and had an excellent time so thanks for that. I do think if it’s a large group that a tournament size, and their shotgun starting then other tee times shouldn’t be available for that time frame.
Golf tournament
Wish they would have let us know they were having a golf tournament we were held up over an hour later then our tee time.

Slow, slow slow and Muddy.
The course was slow and marshal/starter never drives around and finds bottle necks. This is done at most courses except this one. It’s a basic customer service that should done. The customer expects it. The course was very muddy. Every time you hit the ball, the fairway or rough, you have mud all over the ball. Hole 16 is unplayable. The whole fairway is mud. The hole needs to be redone. There was no cart beverage person driving around, most courses do that. The customer expects it. Tee boxes were just sand. Tee boxes should be over seeded with rye so player is not hitting off a sand box. Most courses do this and the customer expects it. The new greens and sand traps were looked nice. The greens were slow and bumpy. The course has improved since last year but still has a way to go. The course is always busy so should be nicer than it is. Members should demand a better course for what they pay for.

Good experience
Greens are great but course is rough. No grAss on fairways, tee boxes look awful and traps need sand. Staff is courteous and range isn’t bad.

Never Again
Great course. Great value. Unfortunately I have played there my last time. Golf Cart restrictions are ridiculous and absolutely made the pace of play a game changer for me. I just don’t have 5-6 hours to play golf, nor do I want to. It’s me I’m sure, but I just can’t do it lol. ALWAYS loved this course… but bye bye..

The new smart carts have killed the pace of play on the course! There needs to be more information available on the cart restrictions so those that aren’t familiar don’t slow the play like it was yesterday. I like CL CC but have never experienced a 5 1/2 hour round there before.
Restricting holes 14 and 16 to cart path only with minimal signage is a really bad move. There were Four foursomes on the 14th when we pulled up. It was slow all day but that was ridiculous!
I’ll give it another try when the weather is better but if it is slow the next time, unfortunately I will pass for the future.
I hope yesterday was just a one time bad day. A course ranger may be necessary.
