Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club

Really enjoyed playing here , staff was great , course in great condition, greens are beautiful. Very challenging layout ,lots of up and down but plenty of room to let it fly . par threes are long and you need at least two extra clubs to get ball up to green on the par three 10th . I got it there but my wife did not even try as it is a 80 carry over ravine and then up about 40 yard s straight up hill over traps .

Will make it a point to come back .

Mid April Round & conditions were good. Fairways, bunkers & greens were consistent. It was an enjoyable round, definitely worth what we paid.

It was a very busy Saturday round though, which meant pace of play was slow (but not unexpected). Took us 5 hours to play. Tee sheet was FULL.

Staff were all very friendly, and helpful.

Would definitely play it again. My buddy holed out for a two on #18, so we definitely enjoyed the finish.

This is an absolute beautiful course this time of year. Course is well maintained and challenging for all levels. Gotta love that 10th and 15th holes with the elevated tee boxes. Will definitely play this course again.

Tried this course while traveling.

Did not expect much because of green fee was very economical. Very surprised. The scale, condition, layout and etc. were all well above expectation. No less than much higher green fee country clubs. Of course maybe because the location of the course. I come to this area a few times a year and I am glad to find this germ in the area.

Played for the second time on a windy Wednesday afternoon. Decent layout with lots of up and down. The ponds and streams are clear and pleasing to eyes. Greens under aeration hence not fair to compare. The fairways are in decent condition with some rough spots. Bunkers are in surprisingly good condition. The yardage are clearly marked. Staff is very friendly, and on-site restaurant is open with decent offering. Good value for the money.

Great staff, welcoming and friendly. Course is challenging every time. Play moves along at a consistent pace. Love it.

This is my second time playing at Blue Ridge Shadow. I had a good experience the first time I played there. I was disappointed this time. The course conditions are terrible. Divots on the fairways. Greens are bumpy. Bunkers were not raked. I am not sure what happened. This is supposed to be the best golf course around this area. We drove over an hour to play here. Not sure if we want to drive an hour to play in a golf course with this condition.

Course was incredible. It’s been 30-40° consistently and very dry/windy and they are still able to keep in top notch form. Staff was incredible as always. Besides the weather being nice, the condition/friendliness of staff is why they are busy in the middle of February

Fairways and greens in good shape. Due to wet conditions it was.cart path only and because of hilly course put a slight damper on our play. Very windy and not sure if that's normal. The views are beautiful. Other than golf cart we didn't use other amenities so can't comment. We will play again even though an hour away from home, it was worth it.

Other than alot of twosomes and guys playing 2 balls from the tees at 10 holes it was an ok day!

depending on the day and weather it can be challenging getting a good tee-time staff is very accommodating though. Course has a good variety of challenging holes and some easier ones, good for all levels of play - definitely love the GPS touch screen standard on all carts, certainly helps all of us beginner golfers and is a good tool for advanced players. all in all a good local course to check out.

Played here before with friends, decided to return and show father in law a local challenging course - which did not disappoint. while the course had several restrictions due to maintenance we still had a good play time and certainly felt challenged, considering we're your average occasional golfer. prices could be a bit friendlier considering other courses in the 5 mile radius but overall not bad.
