Light In the Shadows
Having played this challenging layout only once before, I took some time to review satellite imagery prior to my round this time, which was helpful in shedding some light onto the ‘shadowed’ beauty and dangers hidden just out of sight of some of the tee boxes. (Dramatically on the 1st, for example.)
I’m looking forward to my next round here, Plus, I think I heard someone ordering a cheesesteak sandwich at the bar as I was leaving for Spelunkers. Oh well, maybe next time what’s hidden will come into the light!

Early September Golf
Blue Ridge Shadows GC did not disappoint! The Superintendent at this course must wear a cape! This course was in excellent shape even after the brutal summer we’ve had this year! Greens were recently aerated, but recovered nicely. Greens were rolling quite nice. Fairways were in great shape…could take a proper divot without feeling it in the elbows. Only complaint…no water coolers on the course…make sure you have a beverage(s) ready before you tee off!

Excellent conditions
Excellent layout with lots of elevation. Greens were a tad slow but overall an excellent experience.

Little too expensive
Course looks like crap and some of the greens are covered in geese poop

Challenging course but fun

Enjoyable
It's a bit of a drive for me from Tysons Corner, but worth it. Very reasonable greens fees and the course has a neat layout and was in very good condition.
