St. Petersburg Country Club

Interesting course with very few hazards. Course in average + condition. Entire property showing its age.
I can appreciate its history, but even with a hot deal it's overpriced.

We hooked up with another two some; the course meanders through a neighborhood; the greens are well bunkered and the approach shots require accuracy.
Nice range and putting green to warm up before tee off. For $40 a real value

What a nice surprise playing St. Petersburg Golf & Country club. Arrived and was picked up in golf cart with ice water and a small towel included. Checked in was told there was next to no one on the course and I could go when I was ready. Headed over to the free hitting range and hit some balls to warm up, then headed to the 1st tee. Fairways were mostly generous in size and in good condition. The real treat were the greens. They were the quickest I'd played (Bardmoor & Pasadena Golf & Country Club were nice, but slower). They were in mostly great shape and rolled true. Most were large and fairly flat, with some of them throwing in some slopes. They are also well guarded by traps......of which I found a few today! Thankfully got up and down out of most of them. :-)

I completed the round in about 3 hrs. and didn't see any other golfers until I reached about the 16th green. I never caught them.

Very enjoyable round. Already booked another round for this Saturday. Definitely will be playing this course on future trips.

Terrible service . Nice greens ! Ok course . No one guided me to cart , no starter . More worried about making sure my shirt was tucked in than giving good service !

Great golf course and we zipped around in just over 3 hours. Would definitely try this place again!!

Best conditions seen in Clearwater/St Pete outside of BelAire CC. Fariways a little thin but collars & greens were good. Food good, hot & reasonably priced.

Course was challenging but not too difficult. Had a good time and would come back again.

Bring your credit card, do not take cash for green fess and/or cart; but cash okay at turn there is no refreshment cart on course

This is a very good course with decent prices. Good staff and it plays pretty fast for a Florida course. I play here whenever I can.

Rain hard day before, course drain great, no cart path only

I was a member at this Club for about 4 years. I always enjoyed the course. But I had forgotten how challenging it can be. The course is very deceptively difficult. Well placed bunkers, both in the fairways and around the greens, make this generally flat course very interesting. Also, an interesting mix of easy and very difficult holes. The par 3's are always a challenge, and several of the par 4's will definitely test you. Greens are currently in excellent condition, very quick and consistent. It was great to return - like seeing an old friend who is aging well.

The course was very crowded, esp. for a weekday afternoon. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy with some weirdos walking around. The course really looks bad on the drive in. The layout is fairly bland, with only a few interesting holes. The greens are really the trick here. They have a lot of slope and are quite fast. You'll need a few times playing here to learn where to leave the ball. There was no drink cart and the halfway house was closed. So, I was pretty thirsty and hungry. My recommendation to play here is really based on a lack of other public accessible golf options in the area.

Old course and it shows. Could use some updating. Finished in 4 hours. Friendly staff.

Good value given in season down here in Florida. Fee includes ranges balls. Course was in good shape and very nice facility. They announce you at 1st Tee on loud speaker, it is awesome.

Terrific course. Well groomed and a nice layout. I liked the fact that there were no parallel holes.

Played as a twosome and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Friendly reception at pro shop and pace of play was very good. Course in excellent shape and a fair but challenging test of golf. Will certainly return.
