St. Petersburg Country Club

Nice course. Very friendly staff and members. Well maintained.

I'm a new resident of the Lakewood Estates Neighborhood and this was my first playing this course which I must say was in excellent condition...nice manicured fairways and superb greens. I will defintely play again fairly soon.

Unfortunately now that they offer t-times to puplic for the Guest fees($)....they ram them between member times/games and usually the non-members are sent off the back 9,just to get out.Last time members whos' t time was 15 minutes later cut in front of my group on 10,which made our group cut in front of a 2some coming off 9,just to prolong an upcoming painfully slow day.

First time playing the course as I was driving down 19 and going past Central heading to the south side which i really never do I was thinking wow where am I goin and then all the turns through some of the really rough lookin streets I was thinking this course cant be as good as I heard it was and when i finally got there about a 45 minute ride for me it was a very confusing really large entrance but i was well greated in parking lot and a ride to the Pro shop where the staff was very nice with range balls included and a very nice range and the couse was in great shape beautiful plush fairways nice and spongee and beautful greens that rolled so true i loved it,best course I ever played in Florida and I played just about every course there is loved the layout of the course and definitely would reccomend it to anyone and I can't wait to play it again,

Lots of water..lots of doglegs..Most of the greens are elevated, and the surface is smooth and slick!! Traps are very playable, and numerous. Staff was as friendly as they possibly could be. Actually a lot more so than our private club. Not cheap, but very worth the money. Highly recommended!!

Old course had character mature great shape it's a country club!

St. Petersburg CC was in very good shape and our group played in less than four hours. Greens running near 10 and very true. Fairways excellent and rough was a bit scraggly but not unfair.

This course is one of the best in the area. With the plush fairways and the well manicured greens, this course is a must play.

What you see is what you get - only one blind shot on course (#15 has water crossing fairway before the green). Well maintained all around from tee to green. Plenty of water but an equal amount of wide fairway to help you avoid trouble - if you're in water, chances are you shanked a shot. We played on a Monday at 10 a.m. as a twosome and finished in 2 1/2 hours without seeing anyone ahead of us until hole #11. Course winds through various neighborhoods in two 9-hole circles with no parallel fairways. . Only annoyance was some interference from work crews - got a face full of air & flying grass as a fairway blower drove by us about 10 feet away, and on #15, a sweeping sprinkler was running on the green so we had to dash onto the green to make a rushed putt or we would be soaked when the sweep of the sprinkler came around. Good value for the money - would play again if back in the St. Pete area

SPCC has been around a long time and provides an enjoyable and challenging golfing experience. I specfically enjoy the fact that there is no parellel fairways. It is out and back in course that provides a wide variety of holes and challenges that any level of golfer can enjoy. I would recommend this course to anyone that would like to enjoy a historic and challenging course.

ive played nicer courses during my stay nin st petes....greens were in need of some TLC.... rye grass needs a trim...green fee for a private club respectable. Tradition and very little else to get excited about

Upon arrival to the p/l, a guy was there immediately in a cart offering to load my clubs. The guy in the pro shop was courteous and informative. The course was in overall good shape - tees and greens very good; the fairways were over-seeded w/Rye and needed to be mowed. The layout is fairly benign, meaning everything is in front of you. Only once was a water hazard out of site (luckily I missed it). It's old style, not tricked up, fair. There's plenty of room to drive the ball, approach shots need to be accurate to relatively small greens. Picturesque par 3's. I enjoyed it and look forward to playing it again.

An old style course that was in excellent shape. The greens are tricky but fair. Greta par 3's especially number 17. The staff especially the pro were very welcoming. Really felt the "member for a day" concept

Would recommend and play again if up that way. Routing good. No parallel fairways or houses hindering the view.

Staff extremley cordial and explained course lay out thoroughly. Played course in 3.5 hours and conditions some of the best played in this area of Florida. Greens of high quality. A no brainer for the money - we will return for sure.

This course has a great layout in the tradition of old style courses. Greens were well maintained and quick with plenty of subtle breaks that made it challenging. With a pair of bald eagles soaring overhead and a 3 1/2 hour round you can't go wrong. Will definitely be returning to this course soon.

First time I have played here in a couple of years and I was pleasantly surprised. The tee boxes and fairways are in good shape. The rough is thick but not too punishing. Greens are amazing and will only get better.
Get out and play here if you can, well worth the money
