Links in Eureka
Course was in great shape. Greens rolled well and fairways were in great condition. Staff was friendly and made sure the slow groups were keeping pace. I'm looking forward to playing it again this year.
liked the links style
the course was in good condition considering the recent warm weather, greens were true and medium speed, fairways hard and ran a lot just like I expected.
Plan your Open Championship!
In light of The Open Championship, I selected a self-proclaimed links styled course. I like courses that have a range and nice size putting green in order to get a proper warm up. The tee boxes were in good shape. The fairways were in excellent shape. The greens left a lot to be desired. They were slow, bumpy, and full of unrepaired ball marks and foot prints. I repaired 2-4 ball marks on every green. The sand bunkers were in good shape. The course does not play like the ones in Scotland. Don't expect 30-80 yard roll outs. The clubhouse had no food except for one last hotdog. Come on! It's 5pm on a Saturday. Really! All things considered, it's a very good course. Play it in the morning and then play Pevely Farm in the afternoon.
This course is a hidden gem.
Aberdeen is the best unknown course in St. Louis. The tees, fairways, and greens are in good shape. The layout itself is fun, with a lot of variety of holes. Highly recommended for the price they charge. Also, the group in front of us was starting to move slowly around the 10th hole. The owner came out, and took control of the situation. They sped up immediately, and we finished in just under 4 hours.
Great Course, Poor Staff
Course was in great shape, staff in the pro shop left a little to be desired. Will play again just based on the course, not the staff that's for sure.
this course is one of the best links courses I have played in the area
I have not played Aberdeen in quite a few years and was pleasantly surprised at the good condition of the course and the fair level of play. I would recommend that the staff stay on top of players since the pace was slow and twosomes should be paired which was not the case especially on a Friday with a noon tee time. A refreshment cart would also add a welcome note for a July afternoon tee time.
this course is tuff off the tee must hit stright off the tee ...
fairways and greens in nice shape lots of sand traps must keep the ball in play number 18 hole is challenge ...
Great Shape
Matt and his crew have the course in great shape. Greens were fast and firm. Great course.
Awesome
Great course. Can be challenging at times. The staff was awesome. The course is well maintained and the pace of play was not bad. They have a no jeans policy which helps weed out some of the players that might destroy other courses. I will be back again.
Great course. Good value. Tees and fairways in great shape. Greens show lack of divot repair.
I enjoy playing this course and it's always a challenge for a hacker like me. The water, the unforgiving rough, the well placed bunkers, and the undulating greens test every facet of one's game. The tees and fairways are in great shape. The greens need more attention to divot repair. The golf cart did not come with sand for divot repairs nor with a ball and club wash box. The men's room in the club house was not clean or dry. Although not overly convenient to St. Louis City, the course remains one of my favorites and I think it is a good value when you can get a reduced price.
Enjoyed the course
The course was in great condition. The staff was great and very accomodating. The score card would be better if it showed better discription of the holes. I hadn't played Aberdeen before and ended up in a couple of approach bunkers I didn't see on the card. Carts were equipped with GPS system and I should have paid closer attention but I was using my rangefinder when I didn't think the GPS yardage was right. I will definitely play the course again!
A great public course
Play Aberdeen. It is a great track with enough challenge for any level but, most importantly, it's a whole lotta fun! Great staff and really reasonable fees for the conditions. This will be a regular summer stop for me!
Great value in St Louis
Great condition considering recent weather. Good layout, very well maintained, friendly staff, multiple tee boxes for all player levels..
A true links-style experience - bring a wind shirt - "It's always windy at Aberdeen." Consider shorter tees if really windy. Difficulty increases exponentially with the wind.
Course was in good shape - only down side was the pace of play.

Highest value course in the area!
Love this place. Not only is the course always in great shape but the staff is by far the nicest in town. I have played here at least 15 times in the past few years and am always excited to go back.
Depending on the tees you choose to play from and the amount of wind whipping around that day, this course can range from friendly to beastly (in a good way). An awesome links style course that has extremely competitive rates (my round cost me $18. Yes, for 18 holes and a cart.). You definitely shouldn't pass up playing here if you get the chance.
WOW!!
I had the opportunity to play this course yesterday and all I can say is WOW.
I didn't realize how nice this course was. It is easily among the nicest in the St. Louis area.
Among the links style courses, this one is definitely up there with Gatteway. I can't wait to play here again.
I hope the people who live out west down the 44 corridor realize how nice they've got it. That little cluster of golf courses is awesome!!!
Course is a good links style format
The course was in good shape considering the recent cold and rainy weather.
Course was in great shape. Great value!!
You could tell that they have spent a great deal of time getting the course ready for the season, and it is in great shape. New tees on the front nine par 3's(3 and 5) has made them more difficult.
