Aberdeen is still fun to play
The greens fees keep getting more and more expensive but the course isn’t getting any better. In fact, the conditions are slipping a bit and not the best value at $60. However, the layout is quite fun to play and the staff is great.
The tee boxes are alright but the fairways are pretty hit and miss. Most are good, some have big dead patches and quite a few had sections that were recently sodded and marked as GUR. Bunkers were playable and do remember that a couple seemed to have very fluffy sand and were excellent to hit out of. The greens were solid but, again, a number of them had dead spots and sections were not playable.
The course was crowded but we only had to wait a few times. Holes were placed in some tough locations. It is still an entertaining course and great to play, so I’ll keep going back, though.
Sad to see!
I have always loved this place, but I hadn’t played it in a while. A friend and myself decided to go the other day and we were both excited. The course layout is still great, but it seems like they are having irrigation problems and they don’t appear to be trying to fix them. The results is a lot of sporadic really wet spots, like it’s been raining for a week straight. On the other hand the rest of the course looks like it hasn’t been watered for the whole month of July. I won’t go pay to play there if the owner isn’t going going to maintain the property.
Never again
I haven't played in awhile but tried it again. The last time I sent review the conditions were horrible. Well sorry to change still horrible. The course in terrible shape - bald spots every where - Tee boxes are crappy - fairway very thin if any grass at all -- There clubhouse is small and nasty -- Never play there gain
Getting expensive
The Greens fees keep going up, while the condition of the course keeps going down. I'm assuming with the higher fees, they will put that money into the golf course, but as of right now the fairways are in pretty bad shape (particularly the 14th hole). I've always loved this course in general, and would love to recommend it, but it's getting harder and harder to do that when the greens fees keep increasing (apparently it's going to be $48 just to walk on a Monday afternoon going forward). It's a good, challenging course, though and that's why I've been going back.
aberdeen
No water anywhere on course except on the ground. No ball washers. greens were in rough shape. Should have been notified of conditions before play.

This course didn't even look like the same course that I have played on before. I understand it is spring, but you could still take care of the weed problems and the moles. I do enjoy the course though. We will try again next year.
Greens were in good shape and running nicely. Course is still dormant so that is driving my comments. I have played here when in much better shape.
Not Worth $50 to play
My friend and I played Aberdeen last year and this year. Our tee times were $50/each golfer both times. I found the course tee boxes to be not well maintained. The fairways were dry and hard, but the clubhouse said it was "cart path only". Fairways were difficult to hit off of due to hard conditions and little to no grass in the fairways. Greens were average at best.
I will only play this course moving forward for $30 or less. Otherwise, I will go play Pevely or Crescent Farms right up the road.
I was not impressed at all by course conditions or clubhouse quality. It seemed very minimal.
Played in January and the greens rolled surprisingly well for that time of year. I’m sure course conditions are excellent in the summer.
