Aberdeen Golf Club

The drought that has plagued StL has turned the fairways at Aberdeen into hardpan which played havoc with iron shots. They were great for drives, though, as the ball rolled and rolled on the "concrete". One member of my group recorded a 340 yard drive with the wind when he normally hits about 250. The greens had been recently aerated which we knew in advance so we didn't make many putts but understood. Winds were at 30-40 mph which made every high shot quite an adventure.

Enjoyable Course. A few areas of Fairway is under repair but nothing major. Easy enough to move the ball should you be unfortunate land in some mud. Course is fun and pretty forgiving. Greens were in good shape but you can tell not all the patrons are repairing their ball marks. Overall a pleasant round of golf.

Reading reviews I had average expectations. I was surprised by how good of a time I had here. Pace of play was incredible. The fairway could definitely be softer and felt like hitting off concrete in some spots. However greens and tee boxes were in excellent condition. Very quiet and good views. Would recommend if you can make it out here.

Bunkers were a water hazard. Lack of rain in the STL area this summer - baffling how some bunkers had 6+ inches of water. Told us 90° rule even though course was bone dry. Greens were beat up, more craters than the moon. Wouldn't pay 70+ to tee it up here, which is what they ask before twilight. I don't know if they are short staffed or just don't care since they do get a lot of play... ashame to see because I usually really like the course.

Wouldn’t recommend playing this course for a few months

This is normally one of my favorite public courses in STL. The fairways, rough, and greens are in good shape but every single green besides 9&18’s double green had so many ball marks that it seriously affected most putts our group hit all day. I get that not everyone fixes their ball marks but it seemed like not a single person had fixed one for the last week. I will definitely play here again but hopefully they’ll get a few rolls in on the greens and fix some ball marks before then.

The tee boxes and greens need lots of work. The course doesn't look as good as it normally does. The weeds and grass mixtures need some work on fairways and cart paths need some substantial repair.

Stay in the fairways. 1st cut is very high. Definitely deserves the term “rough”. Pace of play was a little slow. A little over 5 hrs to play 18. Otherwise, great course.

Hadn’t played the course in 15-20 years and it was fantastic the, but we were majorly disappointed in the overall conditions

Course has been let go and not nearly in the shape it once was.
