Great PreSpring golf
Tee boxes and fairways are still dormat BUT I actually like playing this time of year. I thought with all the rain the course was in great shape. Yes there were areas that were soggy and it was cart path only but this is typical for this time of year. Course played great and I enjoyed the nice weather. Staff was friendly like usual.
Consistent
Played on a really windy day, temp was ok but wind was strong enough to move my ball on the green. The starter was a nice guy, but the cashier in the pro shop was not friendly at all. He seemed more concerned with me not teeing off ANY before my set time, even though the course was near empty. This has happened here before.

The course is in rough shape... To say the least. I have played this course over 20 times the last 4 years and it's getting worse by the day.

Staff and greens are both a mess
I love the layout of this course but the staff is terrible. The guy in the pro shop was more concerned about how big his dip was then being helpful. Refused to wear a mask as well.
Greens are a mess and full of divots and there are no markers on the tees.
Unfortunate as it’s a great location. Might try it again but at this point I prefer shoal creek.

first time, hot deal, windy Nov.
Great price got me up north on a breezy, overcast Nov. day. People were friendly, course layout was fun & challenging. due to wind and it being first time I made a good decision to play the whites which made it a very enjoyable, playable outing.

3 1/2 hours to play 9 holes. No reason for it. This will be the last time I play this coarse.

Tough layout, great shape
Overall, course is in great shape. Greens were receptive yet quick and rolled true. Trouble is on the left on almost every hole which is nice for a right hander who plays a fade. One knock is the thick fescue grown around all the bunkers. The course is already a tough enough challenge being exposed to wind, plenty of water, and length. I see the fescue as an additional unnecessary hazard. It made the course that much more challenging and severely narrowed playing corridors for anyone that plays over a 5 handicap. It is a significant penalty that takes away from an otherwise very solid golf course. I would rate it 4.3. Without the fescue, it's a very good 4.5 . I hope they reconsider for the enjoyment of public play in both scores and pace of play.
