Staff very rude
Played with some friends who had received passes. I like the course although the pace of play was a little slow.
My primary objection and criticism is the way the staff treated us. A person named Charlie would barely get out of his chair to help us. With customer service like this I don't know how they keep any members.
As expected
I've wanted to play this private course for many years. From time to time a Golf Now Tee time pops up. We played after the course had been aerated about 10 days prior. The greens where still quick. If you can't place shots onto the green, you will pay the price. An excellent lay out. A good number of divots simply not taken care of by patrons took some of the charm away. This could very easily be a pristine course if golfers would respect what the staff has to do to put up with such carelessness. Great staff, had a wonderful time otherwise.
Great Day at Staley
Beautifully maintained course. The design is well thought out and the course is well built with some very challenging holes. The undulating greens are massive, most with several tiers, and chellenging. I would play there again. Found it for $33/pp on golfnow.com

Enjoyed my day at Staley Farms
Hottest day of the year so far, so pace of play was good. Staff was excellent. Greens were the most challenging I have ever played. My only complaint was that golf.now posted one tee time for Tuesday, then the day before posted the entire day. Otherwise I was glad to have the opportunity to play at Staley Farms.
Challenging Course
Really enjoyed this one. Fairways are in excellent condition. Rough can be challenging if you choose the wrong tees or miss the greens in the wrong spots. Greens are fast and quite undulated. Need to stay below the hole and think your way around the course.

Thick rough, undulating greens make for a tough but fair course. Accuracy is paramount.

When the greens are fast on this course a 20 plus handicapper has no chance playing to his handicap. There is often very little reward for hitting a good approach shot. If you like a real test of your golf abilities, this is a good place to tryout your game.
