About
Waikele Country Club sprawls across the gently sloping landscape of Waipio, just west of Waikiki. The golf course overlooks Pearl Harbor with views stretching to Diamond Head. The layout features rolling fairways and undulating greens, which are accented with strategically placed bunkers. Ted Robinson designed the course, incorporating his signature water features throughout. Keeping the ball in play off the tee is integral to scoring well on this layout. The fourth hole is a short par 4 that is known for being one of the course's greatest challenges. It plays downwind, requiring a skillful lay-up off the tee in order to set up the short-iron approach to the two-tiered green that is protected by a pond. On Waikele Country Club's back nine, the 17th is another favorite hole amongst players. Beginning on an elevated tee, the hole plays to a deep, narrow green with water and a small sand bunker to the front.

Great course!
I like Waikele. Well maintained course.
The green is a bit slower than other courses such as Royal Kunia but I didn’t mind at all.
Really fun, well maintained course.
The course is challenging but fair. The staff is very friendly and the conditions were great with serious attention to detail. I can’t wait to get back and play it again now that I have a little more course knowledge although the GPS System tips were really helpful. About 1/2 hour from Waikiki and well worth a try.
What did you expect?
Staff was great, course in great conditions, fun to play, very forgiving (no rough!) but a very slow pace of play ruined everything. Almost 6hours for 18holes, that’s too much.
Not sure to come back again.
Very vanilla
Average course, greens looked like they needed to be cut, bunkers intakes, no on course food or drinks and nobody monitoring pace of play. One group was taking 25 minutes per hole minimum. From a design perspective, there wasn’t anything interesting or exciting going on either. Glad I didn’t pay the full rate.
Amazing round of golf
Enjoyed our round of golf today. Course was in great shape with beautiful scenery throughout our round. The staff were exceptionally friendly and even able to get us out prior to our scheduled tee time. Only negative was the pace of play slowed now significantly on last four holes. Would definitely play this course again.
Fun in the Sun
Was lucky enough to have a work trip to Honolulu with a few extra days and took in a round at Waikele. Good decision, the course is well laid out, wide and open enough to feel forgiving, yet enough deep bunkers and gnarly rough to still punish you for offline shots. The wind throws in some additional challenges that remind you that this isn’t always paradise. The staff and members were all super friendly. I’d go back in a heartbeat!
