Pleasantly Surprised, can’t wait to go back
I booked this course as I was tired of dealing with traffic driving to Orlando. For less than $100 in March it can always be questionable, but this source was well worth the money and little bit further drive. The layout is fun and challenging, but still fair. The staff was very nice and the amenities are great for a public course. Can’t wait to come back to try out the other course on property.
Play
Nice course ,nice personal pace of play
slow fivesome in front of us didn’t rake traps no ranger on course.
A Great Time
My 81 year old father and I drove an hour and fifteen minutes from Okeechobee because our usual courses in Martin County were packed. It was a great time and the conditions and pace of play were excellent! We teed off between a foursome and a threesome and after the first couple of holes, we didn't see another group until the 11th hole. It was a twosome and we let them play through on the next Par 3 (#13).
We hit our tee shots while they were putting out on 12 and then they teed off and we all drive to the green together so we could mark our balls and they could finish the hole. One of the guys holed out a really difficult chip for a birdie 2! It was such a cool moment!
We finished in 3:45 which was great because my dad has really bad feet. Usually, on the East Coast, we get paired up with another twosome and it's hard for my dad to keep up. I understand why they do it but it is still tough. It was a great experience and we will definitely go back out there to play Turtle Run!
They also have a nice practice area and lunch at the restaurant was good as well.
Great Time
We drove from Okeechobee to play here and we had an awesome time! Totally worth the hour and fifteen minute drive. I play with my father who will be 82 soon and has bad feet. Typically, on the East Coast, we end up getting paired up and my dad can't really enjoy himself because he's rushed. I understand why the courses do it but it just takes some of the fun out of it.
We teed off behind a foursome and in front of a threesome. After the first couple of holes, we didn't see another group until the 11th hole. It was a twosome and we let them play through on the next Par 3 which was the 13th. We hit our tee shots and let them hit theirs. We drove up to the green together, marked our balls on the green and let them play the hole out. One of the guys holed out a super tough chip for a birdie. It was really cool!
We had lunch at the restaurant and it was really good. I didn't play very well but it was an amazing time! We will definitely head back out there to play Turtle Run. During "season" on the East Coast, you're paying $100 per person for a 4.5 - 5 hr round on a course that is beat to heck.
I'd much rather make the drive and pay $55 for a really nice course and a 3 hour 45 minute round. The practice area was really nice, too.
Nice course
Turtle Run was in great shape and the pace of play was great!
Turtle pm round
We picked up a game at Turtle on the weekend, booked it a couple days in advance.
We were going to be with another player, however we arrived at the course a half hour early, and were fortunate enough to get on the course a few minutes before our scheduled tee time, and we were allowed to play as a twosome. Front nine pace of play was excellent. Back nine was slower as we caught up to the foresomes, but did finish the round in 3:45hrs. Course was in great shape, green were fairly quick and were receptive to wedge shots.
Can’t wait to play Turtle again!
Super Fun Course
Played this morning with my dad and had a great time. My dad is almost 82 and has bad feet so he doesn't get around very well. Usually, this time a year we get paired up with another foursome and we end up being rushed. Sun 'N Lake was awesome! We got to play as a twosome and after the first hole, we only saw one other twosome and we let them play through on the next par 3 which was the hole after we saw them. I played poorly but the course was very fair and in great condition. We will be playing the Turtle Run course next week. Totally worth the hour and twenty minute drive from Okeechobee for us!
Beautiful Course - Turtle Run
This course is well maintained. It is 100% worth the hour drive to play this. Looking forward to trying Deer Run.
Great course
I’ve played here a few times. It is a very nice course, the deal on Golf Now was well worth it. Greens are fast and difficult, which adds to fun play.
Nice
Nice course ( Deer Run). Well maintained. Greens a little slow but nice. Recommend this course.
Long course
The course was long also in good shape the greens are much better that last year. I understand the greens were replaced. This year number 1 and number 10 are reversed last year 1 and number 10 were reversed. It may have been related to the conditionof the greens. I will play again.
Great course. Staff was excellent. Had a great time
