Course was in excellent condition. Really enjoy the challenge of Deer Run. Staff was friendly and efficient as always!
Favorite place to play in the area
Golf now for the win as always! Excellent course, kids are always allowed to join (huge win for this dad)! Paired randomly with Dave, a local young snow bird. He was great to play the round with and very kind to my 10 yo. I'll be back.

Best courses and players pass deal in the area!!!
Sun N Lake offers two of the best courses in the area by far. Deer Run seems to be the harder of the two. Greens are fast and not an even green to be found. Turtle is my favorite of the two. Seems more remote with fewer houses dotting the course. The players pass beats anything any other course offers. Plus you get two courses to choose from. Always on excellent condition. The staff plus the clubhouse and pro shop are top notch. Aaron and Sherry are two of the nicest people you can meet. I’m a players pass holder and I encourage you to become one to. You won’t be disappointed!!!! I am not an employee but an extremely satisfied customer who always looks forward to returning
Great course
Beautiful course. Fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Will play that course again.
Greens are too long. Terrible!!
The greens are simply unacceptable as they are way too long. It’s not even golf when the putting cannot be factored in. You must fix your greens to be considered a golf course.
New greens
Renovation of all the greens looks great. Greens are still hard so expect the ball to run some on approach shots, Greens still a little sandy as the greens mature but overall a great track and great value
Great Golf
Discovered Sun N Lake a few years ago. Have played here a dozen times, more on Deer Run than Turtle Run but both excellent courses. People I've met when playing weekend shotguns were all friendly. Was looking forward to playing Deer Run again after it was closed. Not sure what was done, but I did not see any difference in the course. Greens were ok, and fast, but not perfect as I remember them. Great round, highly recommend both courses and will definitely be back soon.
Lesser of the 2 courses
Sun n Lakes has 2 golf courses. Deer Run is a nice course and worth playing but the other course Turtle Run is much better
Deer Run 1st Time
Straight forward layout and the last 3 holes have a lot of character. Wide fairways and they are in mostly good shape. The greens are the strength of the course. Undulating and multi levels. They were in good shape. Not perfect but very good.
