Needs help
Not sure why course has no grass sand a plenty in the middle of fairways first time had to push golf cart out of sugar sand hope they fix course could be a great place
Going Downhill.
Hasn’t rained in more than a month. Sprinkles must be off. It’s like a brown desert. Even most greens are brown. Were green for a while. The look chemical burned. Very dry like putting in parking lot.
Pray for rain, maybe grass can come back.
This course has potential
I played just the front nine. The staff is very nice and friendly. Golf carts are in great condition. The parking lot and entry way needs some major TLC. The fairways and tee boxes are a bit dried up.
More work
Some improvement in greens and traps but tee boxes and fairways are very poor.
Love this place
I love Oak Hill. It has a wonderful history and a fun and challenging layout. The greens have recently improved, which has really increased its enjoyability as of late. The fairways are tough to play on, and tee boxes could use some work, but if you can play with some buddies that don’t mind the occasional ball fluff then this course is perfectly fine.
The rates have raised however. $38 for a morning tee time any day of the week. Comparatively, other courses offer much more at even lower rates, so it’s difficult for me to justify playing there as often as I used to. I’m hoping the price increase translates to a quality increase over time, and when it becomes worth the money I’ll be back all the time, and not just when I have a GolfNow deal.
Some improvement
Greens and some tee boxes are better than last year. Fairways remain very sandy.
This course is a disaster!
Upon arrival I could tell it was going to be a disaster. Potholes in the entranceway and a large broken branch hanging over the drive ready to fall onto an unsuspecting car. There was almost no grass in the fairways. The greens were OK. Looks like they at least try to keep the greens. People walking their dogs down the middle of the fairway and had to wait for them to clear. Played in 2 1/2 hours because I only saw 4 other golfers the whole round. Don't have a clue how they are in business. The layout is pretty good so it is sad to see the conditions.

Fair front 9, easy play, worn greens;
Rich back 9, full play , fine greens (12 - 16)
Had fun
Had a blast here! Greens and tee boxes awesome but the ball always splashed into dust and dirt. Strangely though we had a great time playing. The staff was attentive and helpful while also very friendly! I’d play here again!
Good and bad
Most tee boxes and greens were in great shape. Fairways not so much but I still enjoyed playing the course. The discount I found online made it well worth playing. I wouldn’t pay full price though as there are other courses nearby that are equivalent in price but in better shape.
