This course is a disaster!
Upon arrival I could tell it was going to be a disaster. Potholes in the entranceway and a large broken branch hanging over the drive ready to fall onto an unsuspecting car. There was almost no grass in the fairways. The greens were OK. Looks like they at least try to keep the greens. People walking their dogs down the middle of the fairway and had to wait for them to clear. Played in 2 1/2 hours because I only saw 4 other golfers the whole round. Don't have a clue how they are in business. The layout is pretty good so it is sad to see the conditions.
George Dwyer, Teacher SHES
Fair front 9, easy play, worn greens;
Rich back 9, full play , fine greens (12 - 16)
Had fun
Had a blast here! Greens and tee boxes awesome but the ball always splashed into dust and dirt. Strangely though we had a great time playing. The staff was attentive and helpful while also very friendly! I’d play here again!
Good and bad
Most tee boxes and greens were in great shape. Fairways not so much but I still enjoyed playing the course. The discount I found online made it well worth playing. I wouldn’t pay full price though as there are other courses nearby that are equivalent in price but in better shape.
Kpd
Played this course in December and it has improved since then. Greens are much better. Course is laid out well although has no water holes. Not for the serious golfer but is well worth it for a nice day of golf with friends.
Bad shape
The layout is outstanding the course not so much. Love the hills zero grass to hit off total hardpan and dirt in all areas. Around the greens is beyond horrible, sand and dirt ,the greens are actually pretty good but very slow. Again, im hoping that the grass will come in a few months until then i wont be back. Very nice layout and the pro shop is super nice people.
Good for practice.
If you can play here you’ll really do good on a real course. No grass on most fairways. Greens have been fertilized so they’re green but bald spots are common. They closed two green’s for months but didn’t put seed on bald spots.
Prices are going up constantly but not the quality of course. Best thing is nobody plays most days so have course to yourself.
Oak Hill
Oak is a great place to improve your game. There’s no water hazards on the course. The fairways are in poor shape but the greens were a bit better.
Hidden gem in spring hill
Greens are better than I’ve played on here in yrs, many yrs. It is what it is & I enjoy playing it every time I come out. Good job. Keep it up
Oak Hills
Good practice course. Needs a lot of fixing to be a regular course. Price is worth being a practice course. You can work on your game to sharpen it. No long wait times. Better than being at a driving range.
Oak Hills
This is an outstanding layout but there is zero grass to hit off of. The greens are patchy at best and have plenty to be fixed. Hills are really cool for a Florida course. It really needs some TLC if you want a nice layout then go play it if youre expecting Augusta-like conditions then look elsewhere. I will play it again maybe in the Summer time and there will be more nice grass.
