Your have a 50% chance of landing on grass in the fairway, lots of dirt and weeds. That is after hitting form a tee box that has a 40% chance of having grass, If you end up in the rough, your chance of playing from grass is around 60%.Then your lie could really be in out of control weeds, not really grass. The greens, look green, but are so statured with the weed Poa annua (bluegrass) that they do not put consistent. Basically there is no grain or direction the grass is growing so the speed and break of the put is impossible to read. I have always liked this courses layout, I can only hope the owner finds a buyer, and that the new owner will bring this layout back up to playable conditions. But until then you will not see me wasting my money for a tee time.

have played here many times in the past. the course was in pretty good shape. a couple of fairways beet up. greens were in good shape. a good day of golf for the $$$$

As a resident of the community, I really enjoy playing Silverthorn. It’s a challenging course that keeps you thinking and makes every round rewarding. I’ve noticed them working on the sprinklers lately, and it’s clearly paid off—the fairways are in much better shape. The tee boxes and greens are impeccable, and the fees are very reasonable. Always a solid, enjoyable experience.

Too bad it is not maintained. At one time it was a nice course

I used to love this course but I haven’t played in a few years and it was in absolutely terrible shape and the price was insanely overpriced for the condition it’s in. The sand traps were horrible and full of sand spurs. Fairways torn up greens were the only decent part . Paid 50$ wouldn’t be worth 20$ to play

Conditions not bad but I couldn't go 4. Too many dry sandy spots. Greens were slow and furry, need a cut. Tee boxes are a little beat up. Recent rains will help. Overall, a pretty good day.

The layout was good, but it is clearly a course where the budget can no longer support the course they once had. Fairways and roughs had a variety of different grass/weed combinations. Plenty of well positioned but non-maintained bunkers in the fairways and greenside.Not enough income to support the needed budget to maintain the course that is there.

Don't play for a couple weeks. Greens sanded etc. also way too hot!!!!

Greens were just aerated and we werent notified at booking. Greens were covered in sand. The first 4 holes we played the sprinklers were on. The fairways show little improvement since last time I played there. Tee boxes the same. What a shame! Course was not really playable.

Everything about this place has been on the up and up, I tried calling in a reservation on a tuesday morning, apparently that's not the best idea it resulted in getting hung up on. However, other than that everything was great the course is in great shape. Happy to use golf now for my Sunday reservations.

The tee boxes were just ok, while the fairways were uneven and lumpy. Some greens need urgent help, while others were just passable. The Course was good value based on the conditions

Need to put water with a little bit of cleaner in the ball cleaners tru out the course
