The Silverthorn Country Club golf course has earned its challenging 132 slope rating through a combination of rolling terrain, unpredictable Florida Gulf Coast winds, and no less than 96 strategically-placed bunkers. Great value

Like most golf courses the dry conditions have been problematic. Fairways are ok, rough is very rough but greens were great! Pace of play was outstanding, 9 minute tee time spacing generally assures good pace. Great value, reasonable price.

Great Greens

Greens were in great condition, rolling fast and smooth. Rest of course in good condition. Pace of play was very quick, as there were no groups in front of us when we started. Played in 3hr 45min. We always enjoy this challenging layout.

The golf track is nice and challenging

Silverthorne has improved the greens greatly since October myself and golf partners said we wouldn’t play here again until some improvements were done. I understand dealing with drought conditions makes it rough for all courses but the fairways need some weed control. In conclusion greens are great condition fairways need to help they are playable if you don’t play PGA rules and allow yourself to move the ball around to find some grass. In my opinion its value and staff friendliness make the trip from south Tampa well worth it
