About
The Silverthorn Country Club golf course has earned its challenging 132 slope rating through a combination of rolling terrain, unpredictable Florida Gulf Coast winds, and no less than 96 strategically-placed bunkers. Joe Lee designed this course and it offers a mixture of wide-open links-style holes and tight, tree-lined fairways. The 25,000 square foot clubhouse offers a scenic vista of Silverthorn's championship golf course, surrounding lakes and splendid Florida sunsets. Picture perfect
Everything about this place has been on the up and up, I tried calling in a reservation on a tuesday morning, apparently that's not the best idea it resulted in getting hung up on. However, other than that everything was great the course is in great shape. Happy to use golf now for my Sunday reservations.
Greens need some work
The tee boxes were just ok, while the fairways were uneven and lumpy. Some greens need urgent help, while others were just passable. The Course was good value based on the conditions
Course in pretty good condition
Need to put water with a little bit of cleaner in the ball cleaners tru out the course

Silverthorn is a great layout. The course with our recent rains is starting to come back into shape. Greens for the most part are in nice condition. Fairways are a little thin but getting better with rain. Most tee boxes are good but a few need some work. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Give it a try. Its a nice course.
Return to glory
Course is getting back into shape. Greens are nice. Fairways are grassing up nice. Rain should help it grow in / fill in. Grateful that the water coolers were all filled up to hydrate 👍
Needing some attention
Overall I’d give it a fair rating which would improve if traps were taken care of and people would actually take them. Greens were sub par and slow but could be due to drought conditions with exception of clover on greens.
Silverthorn
Grass range is a plus, but no real markers just an open field with a few poles. Starter was there at arrival, disappeared by 10:30 and no where to be seen. Residents with no tee time jumped on the course and played between tee times, causing us to wait every hole.
Greens were actually in very good shape. Fairways were thin with little grass. Bunkers were unplayable, the absolute worst I've seen. When you walk across the bunker, the sand was so hard I couldn't even see my footprints.
The resident I paired with even mentioned this used to be a phenomenal course that appears to be let go. If the bunkers and fairways come around, this could be one of the best. The layout is difficult from the tips.
Course ok
Course was in pretty good shape due to lack of rain recently. We did not have club house beverages or food due to closed until 1130. Staff was ok.

Fairways need work on the back.
Green and challenging
Been a long time since playing the course. Greens are very good, best I've played in the last several months. Fairways and tees are ok, patchy brown, just need some rain to green up.
Will play again.
