GlenLakes Country Club

We were about the only group crazy enough to endure the Feels Like 108* weather but The Logs are hard core and dont get scared off easily. Course was in good condition given the recent lack of rain and extreme heat.

Only suggestion would be making sure cold water coolers stay full. We found 2 empty or maybe even send out a beverage cart with electrolyte drinks, cold towels etc. We always have our own but it would still be a nice touch on days like these.

played here a few times now, enjoyed every time, had some rain lately so course shape was alittle better. will play again.

Not overly busy and starter kept groups on schedule, course was also in great shape.

My review title says it all. GlenLakes is definitely the best value for the money in the greater Tampa market. For $65 on GolfNow, it’s almost unbeatable. Rates will come down even more during the summer, which will only make it more so. Fairways are great. Firm enough to give you some roll out, but soft enough to not make it feel like you’re hitting off concrete on your approach. There are rolling hills on many holes, which make them picturesque. The green are always in great shape and roll true. Bunkers, if you happen to be in any of them, have just the right amount of fluff to them as well. Tee times are limited, especially during peak season, as the club will say they’re still private (which is kind of true). But if you can grab one of those limited tee times through GolfNow, you’re in for a treat on both layout and condition.

Glen Lakes never disappoints, From arrival to departure, we never had to wait for players in front, nor did we see and poor conditions on the Course.

Paired with Steve first time met, very nice met the couple on hole in ahead of us, joined them to make a foursome, we all enjoyed the grouping and had a great day.

It was very windy yesterday, but I could not pass on the $36 cost using discount codes, etc. Let's keep this a secret! :) There were mostly singles and twosomes, so we got around there in 3 hours or so. They want 3 hours and 40 minutes. Even still, I felt rushed on a few holes because the twosome behind us was right on our tail the entire time. And we were caught up to the single in front of us.

I generally play the tips or one tee forward, otherwise I drive through doglegs, etc. Who wants to drive with a 3 metal or hybrid all day? It also helps keep me back 100 or 125 yards so I can come in with a full wedge. Even an 8 or 7 is fine. The 60-degree wedge is a little temperamental for 40-to-90-yard shots.

I am often waiting for my playing partners to hit first after our drives. So, this often screws me over because by the time they hit, the group behind us catches up and are standing with their hands on their hips!!

I know, good problem to have. I have had it for 45 years, so I am accustomed to dealing with it.

Glad I finally got to play at Glenlakes! The facilities and course are top notch. The staff and members I interacted with were all friendly and very helpful. I used all of the practice areas, the only issue I had was that the driving range section that was open had a slight tilt towards the water and I was unable to get level footing, took a handful of swings to make the proper adjustment. The little chipping area they have is nice, played in the sand a bit. The putting green was really nice, large and gave me a good sense of how the greens would roll on course.

The course itself was in great condition, all the tee boxes, fairways and greens were in terrific shape, best I've seen in the area. I enjoyed the layout, only lost a few balls on some bad shots but overall it is forgiving. I look forward to playing here again in the future!

We love Glen Lakes and the staff, especially Andrew, are beyond helpful and polite. I recommend this Course to anyone who appreciates the finer points of the game.
