The Shores of North River Golf Club

I actually love this course, I played my best ever round here today. There are a couple of things that would have made it even better. First, it would have been nice to have been told that the greens were being aerated and top dressed this morning. The greens were extremely unreadable because of the perforations and resulting bumps of sand the ball rolled very erratically early on but it got better as the ground dried and the sand worked in. Second, and lastly, it would really help if there were signs on the cart pats pointing to the next hole. Last week we ended up missing a tee on the front nine and ended up on the 15th tee. This week we needed to backtrack to be sure that we were on the correct tee twice, but that was because we were playing the senior tees. It might not be so bad if playing the other men’s tees and if we weren’t so old. All in all this is a very pleasurable course and I will gladly play here again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The course is a par 66 so a short course. I completed 18 in a little over 2hrs playing as a single. Course has a few holes near water that are a little challenging and a lot of par 3s. Fun course

This was my first time playing the course and one thing I can say is that the staff on all sides was extremely nice and friendly! As far as the course goes, there was a wait on every hole, but we still finished the round in about 3:30-3:45. I didn't really care for how congested the layout is with almost every hole back and forth from another hole. Several times you could be on the side of your fairway and would have to be wary of errant balls coming at you from an adjacent hole. Another bonus was the price which net of GolfNow discounts was about $22. Course conditions were not horrible. Fairways were in decent shape but tee boxes were chewed up, and the greens were basically sand with patches of grass. I'm not sure if I'll be back with so many other options available but since this is one of the closest courses to my house, it's hard to say never.

Shorter course but a fun layout to play. Conditions were good and the greens although not super fst rolled true. Pace of play slowed a little on the back nine but overall not bad.

This is a very good course for someone just starting out. It is not very long and there is not a lot of trouble to get into. There is no starter so the first tee gets backed up if you play in the morning but it seemed wide open after 12:00. Since there are a lot of beginner golfers the pace of play can be slow as there is also no ranger but overall it was fun to play and we'll be back

Disappointed with behavior of players behind me since it was back to back player.. Three ahead and the three behind, one of the players behind, an elderly woman that was walking, was rushing me and my partner with gestures to move. Even knowing that she could see players ahead of us.

I mentioned at the pro shop and was informed that they do that every single time they come in to play.

Great place to bring less experienced golfers to practice.
