Great Course
The course was great paired up with another team made it better. The conditions were poor but understandable . This time of year the course pros are gearing up for winter season. That means you need to expect some conditions you’re not accustomed to seeing in a course this nice. Driving range was great the golf carts were older but fine, kinda nice not having the gps control your throttle for you. Over all I would go back again . Maybe give it a few weeks to heal from construction . The club house food was awesome . Overall I would recommend .
Under Repair
Tee boxes mostly under repair. Many tees moved forward, some back. 18th green is the size of a toothpick right now. But for $37 it’s worth the price. Finished 18 in 1:55 as a single when playing around 12:30pm
Course is receiving some TLC
Very nice trek and the course is being worked on at this time!!
Construction
They should close the golf course during Construction
Under construction
The course is under construction.
There is no reason why this course is open...
Thank You Crane Watch For A Very Relaxing Day
To start with I have been to CW many times and realize that the current conditions aren't up to their standards, which is fine. This course always prides itself on the conditions of the course. That being said I couldn't have had a better, comforting day and it was the result of a caring staff, which includes the workers who made sure they weren't interfering with a golfer's play, and of course the COURSE itself. I was a little nervous about taking a ride down (an Hr. & 1/2) after reading the newsletters and some reviews, and the person on the phone who mentioned that "the greens were still a work in progress". He only stated a fact but had nothing to be apologetic about. I found the course in fine shape and the greens were no trouble at all. There have been times on busier days early in the year when I showed up as a single and had to pair up and wait for my appropriate tee time. This time I was given my own cart, told to go out early and enjoy myself. I can't begin to tell you what that did for my state of mind. My wife is fighting lung cancer so when the time presents itself I need to go out, by myself, and enjoy a peaceful round of golf which the course and staff were generously able to give me. In the end I know that this course prides itself on it's course and staff being customer friendly and they have done themselves proud. Go out and enjoy a fun day run by terrific people at a reduced price. You'll never regret it!
Disappointed
No water to drink on the course until you walk off the 12 th green. Guy with the spray truck around on and off the whole round spraying the cancer everywhere that I could actually taste it in my mouth. But at least he had a good mask on. And to top it off a very dangerous bridge to go over with a big hole in it. At the very least should have had a traffic cone over it. I stuck a branch in it to make sure people would be careful.
Still doing a lot of work to the course, most of the greens were in bad shape!
Neglect
Not sure when they stopped taking care of the course, but I’ve ever seen it in worse shape.
Roffer
This week they’re in the middle of doing maintenance but in a few weeks the greens will be excellent. Keep up the good work.👍🏌🏼♂️⛳️✌️
Decent track
Never played this course before and I did enjoy it. Conditions were fine and there is some work being done currently but it doesn’t effect play for the most part. I would return.
Course Is Average
The condition and difficulty of the course were all approximately on par with other courses in the area. The quality of the greens might have been slightly better. The clubhouse is a little tired looking, there is weird equipment and old broken down landscaping stuff in the parking lot right next to the starter - sloppy but does not objectively affect your golf round. The price was reasonable for the Sunday summer morning tee time we played. The condition of the course relative to some neighboring courses was in good shape for this time of year. There were two bathroom facilities on the course, both were outrageously dirty. I'm not overly picky about that kind of thing, but these facilities were an outright biohazard with feces spread across the bathroom. We arrived at these early in the morning during our round which indicates to me this issue was several days in the making without being cleaned up or addressed. As for pace of play - We had an unfortunate issue with some of the regular members of the course. We played as a "threesome" but with three total carts. We paid for 8 total 18 hole tee times, two foursome groups split in half and had tee times about 8 minutes apart per their booking availability. At the turn, we had two golfers from the second foursome split off and head home as they are not avid golfers and had enough of the heat. We arrived at the 10th tee as a "group" of 6, but three of our golfing members were playing for the first time ever. In order to avoid any pace issues we decided to organize two partner scramble format and essentially play as a threesome. Immediately after driving the carts down the very first fairway to catch up to our first drives, we had someone shout rather rudely down the fairway to "HURRY UP". By the time we made it off the 10th green, the starter came racing down the fairway to let us know we could not play as a group of 6. We were polite, acknowledged that we understood, explained we planned to play as a scramble to speed up pace of play, and before the starter left he acknowledged that this was different than a group of 6 and gave us the blessing to continue. I volunteered to split the groups up to avoid any friction from the groups behind JUST IN CASE. By hole 14, our friends foursome in front of us, and our now twosome had made great time and run approximately 2 holes ahead of the group behind us that had complained. We decided we were making great pace, and that we were not at risk of impacting pace of play behind us so we were going to just go ahead and crew back up as three carts to run a scramble for the last few holes of the round. While on 16, from an opposite fairway two holes behind us, we heard the original loudmouth "I KNEW IT, THEY ARE STILL PLAYING A 6". He drove over and started an altercation insisting he was a boomer member who had 20+ years on this course, etc. yada yada..... The pro shop apparently got called a second time, ran out to mediate - observed that we were two holes ahead and decided we were not the issue with pace of play on that area of the course. The group behind the complainers let us know on the way down a shared cart path that the guys harassing us were taking FOREVER and blaming it on us. Pro shop had the decency to apologize for their behavior.
Crane creek
Course is in pretty good shape a couple greens need some attention but still very playable
Favorite Course
Although a work in progress, and often flooded due to weather conditions, this is my favorite course. It is laid out well with wide fairways, challenging, yet forgiving. Great staff, friendly people, and well run.
I wish the 19th hole was open more consistently, but it is Summer time…
Their email newsletter posts course conditions and improvement status. Very helpful.
Highly recommended.
Course needs lots of work
Fairways grass dry nd not trimmed. Greens were unkept with lots of dry patches. Ground keeping crew were working around our game, no courtesy at all. The lawn mower operator remain actively riding while we tee off. Not the best experience during our day.
Course confition
Excellent course conditions. A little soggy on the first couple of holes but the greens and fairways were in great shape. Enjoyed our round tremendously.
