Golfer Reviews
What can I say it’s the Saints
The course is getting better every time I play it fairways coming in nicely after putting drainage sewerage in,the bunker are getting a makeover, the holes are getting some needed love! I have to say the course is coming up in stature I play this course if you are from up north or the Midwest they’re working on the course hard to make it a real good one!
Great Price Point.
The best thing about The Saints Golf Course is the $35 price point for 18 holes on a Sunday. At that price, it is absolutely worth playing.
The greens were nice and appeared to be in good condition, but they were incredibly slow. The course itself is extremely flat and wide open, and it reminded me a little bit of Okeeheelee in West Palm Beach. There is not a lot of trouble off the tee, and in many places it feels like an open field with greens and flags.
One important thing to know is that most of the bunkers are currently under construction. There is new piping and gravel throughout many of them, with holes around the piping covered up and little or no sand. A handful of the bunkers have been completed and have beautiful new sand, but most are essentially ground under repair. If your ball goes into one of those bunkers, you really have no choice but to take it out and play from around the bunker because the bunker itself is not playable.
I am not sure I would recommend this course to better players looking for a challenging layout, strong course conditions, or a serious test of their game. However, it is an incredibly fun track for beginners, families, and couples who simply want to come out, hit the ball, laugh, and enjoy a relaxed round of golf.
There are other courses in and around this area that are in better overall condition and more appropriate for mid- to low-handicap players. Those courses may cost twice as much, but they will provide more of what experienced golfers are generally looking for in a golf course.
Again, I want to be very clear: The Saints is absolutely worth $35 for 18 holes. It is a very good value for what it is. Just understand that it is currently a basic, open layout with extremely slow greens and most of the bunkers under construction.
The Saints layout
The golf course has a great layout! You can play fades or draws from every tee box! Winds sweep across at different angles ,so it plays longer than the the scorecard for that kudos to the architect! Nice price for the average Joe Thats usually plays courses like this meaning municipal golf! With the drainage system you can play in the fairway with a cart where other courses would be cart path only! Carts are washed down after every use ice machines with cups at the first and before the tenth hole well needed in the Florida heat! IMHO management is running the course not running it into the ground! Good food Friendly starter and good people are signing you in whether it’s online with the course or GolfNow! I recommend trying out the course!
Coming back to see you again
Tee boxes were in good shape most of the greens were nice as well . Like the par5’s in the front . We’ll be back soon .
This course is in great shape
For a public course, this course is in really good shape right now. Pace of play was good even with the amount of people out on the course.
Outstanding experience
The volunteer staff help with your clubs from your car to a cart with a smile and the willingness to make it a positive experience. The pro shop people accommodate the golfers with a pleasant atmosphere. The starters make every effort to get each golfer out on the first tee consistent with their assigned start time. The practice range is outstanding with multiple areas for short and long game sessions. The course layout is challenging by multiple tee boxes and various pin combinations. You will use all the clubs in your bag. The carts have gps which helps. I always enjoy playing and the staff make you feel like a member.
Enjoyed our round
The course was in great condition. Putting greens fast and pure. Staff friendly. Will come back.
