This course is very friendly to women
The fairways were in excellent shape. The greens had just been sanded so the putting was a little dificult.
Unbelievable Value
I love the course. It has a very good layout, the greens were in great condition, the staff was very friendly and inviting. For the money, this place is a great value. No, it's not the Bluffs, but you're paying 25 here, not 75. The fairways were ok, tee boxes were good, the bunkers were fantastic and the greens were the best I've played on all year. You can tell the maintenance staff pays close attention to the conditions of the course. The collars around the greens were the best I've seen on any course this year. I appreciate their attention to detail. Overall, no matter what you pay to play here, IT'S A GOOD COURSE. If it was just ten minutes closer to my house, I would make this my home course and play here 3 or 4 times a month. I will play here at least on more time before the end of the summer.
Nice course with forgiveness
This course is in great shape, even as hot weather sets upon us.
Many holes have forgiving fairways - helpful for those who might be "struggling" to keep it in play. Greens are really nice right now.
This course has a little of everything, such as, water,sand, rough, etc. but the fairways, greens, tees and general course is great.
The course's layout is great for most people. However, do not play behind a scramble tournament .

Nice course, very well maintain , small greens made the course a little challenging. Very friendly

The course was in great condition but the golf cart did not work properly and was very frustrating to operate.
Grass and weeds need to be cut.
Fairways were full of dandolions and weeds. Grass was so thick, it was almost impossible to find your ball at times.
This course is a real sleeper!
If this course was 20 miles closer to St. Louis, it would be tough to get a tee time. I would play it often!
Great Course for all skill levels
Good course for new and experienced golfers. Greens are small and uneven but they makes this course a challenge. Fairways are pretty wide open a couple of blind holes.
My favorite local course.
I've been playing Country Lake for a long time. It's a great layout covering rolling hills with some great golf holes. It's always in excellent condition, the pace of play is fast, and the people are friendly and professional. And don't let the shortish yardage fool you - it's a real challenge from the back tees.
