Country Lake Golf Club

I received an email for the re-opening of this course. The email asked all former players to come and support the re-opening. I think all of them showed up on Sunday afternoon, and the course was not ready for it. We waited on every tee. The greens and tees were average at best. Footprints, spike marks and divots everywhere. No yardage markers on the course. My cart almost ran out of battery.

I do want to give them the benefit of the doubt. I overheard something about staff issues.

I hope they get it right soon.

Had to quit after nine holes because the pace of play was so slow. Two times are booked about 5 to 7 minutes apart, and there is no martial ensuring that pace plate is followed. Low price of this course attracts amateur and newbie golfers who don’t respect the game or other people. I gave it to stars because I’ve paid more money to play worse courses, however, I will not be back to this one.

Nice to see this golf course reopen again under new ownership and management. Fun and always challenging to play a variety of Par 3s, 4s and 5s. Just needs much care and improvement on maintenance of its tee boxes, fairways, greens and most especially smoothing out and repairing its cart paths. Overall, it’s value for the money is worth returning to play this course time and time again

Really glad to have this course back and open for play. I’m looking forward to the new owners getting it cleaned up, mowed, and the sand traps filled with fresh sand. Course is fun to play, some challenging par threes and fun par fives. Greens actually rolled pretty decent for not being open for nine months Again, looking forward to the continued improvements as the time goes on. Definitely worth playing. The one thing that has not changed, is the staff at this golf course is extremely friendly and helpful, And the hotdogs are good!

I really like this course for our area. It stands to me as a better than average course without the the premium pricing. The greens were decent quality and the scenery of the course is beautiful. My only complaint comes with the course layout as there a a ton of blind shots that make it difficult to track your ball especially come fall time. As well, the rough can be awfully tall grass at times. Overall though, this course is a must visit and one that I play on a monthly basis, kudos to the staff who works here and the owners who manage.

Greens were in great shape as was the fairway. Bunker s Iis a little rough but best thing to do is stay out of them, right! Staff is always friendly and the value for the dollar is really good. Definitely recommend this course.

course played well.... The ball stood up in the fairway the greens ...you were able to attack the PIN leaving a nice divot. Greens were in great shape for the fall.... If you're in the fairway easy to find your ball ..if you in a rough there's Leaves falling so it's a little tougher so I recommend keeping it in the fairway and you'll hit a low score like I did...75
