MADE us play with another couple.
Great course, well kept. Nice layout. Amenities are mediocre, the only ‘complaint’ is that while we were in like to tee off someone that worked there came up and assigned ups to another couple to play with. They put us on the spot and asked if we minded playing with them IN FRONT of them, and asked them the same at the same time. None of us wanted to say no in front of each other, plus the asking was more of a formality They weren’t really asking, so we got paired up. Fortunately, they were a nice father daughter pair and we enjoyed ourselves, downside is that we were very unequally paired in skill level so that could be awkward at times so overall though was positive for us. BUT, but I could definitely see it going the other way and it couldn’t have been so enjoyable if it had been the wrong pair. And when you pay $130 to spend the day with someone, it’s not always ideal to be paired off with another couple that you’ve never met before.
Slow
Nice mix of holes, average condition, but way to long timewise.
Nice course, but super slow play.
I have played this course several times and never has it. Taken me6 hours. Slow players ahead of us would not let us play through. No of course, marshals to speed up play.
Focus on the good
Good fairways, good greens. Tee boxes were in desperate need of mowing and “off fairway” was commonly dirt and ruts but then we aren’t supposed to play off fairway. Course was CPO and for the most part didn’t need to be - only a couple holes. An average layout with some interesting holes and some just straight away. Electric carts were a pleasant surprise for a remote location like this. Definitely a good value at the $25 we paid through a hot deal.
You will be challenged.
Tee boxes and bunkers need some TLC. Otherwise, I enjoyed my round. Carts are new. Facilities are kept clean and organized.
Really friendly place !
It’s a Fun golf course highlighted by a very kind staff! Just the right amount of challenge on a golf course for me!! Thank you
Rough first time.
I’m not going to lie, charging $50 in March on a course in this shape is a bit absurd. They didn’t even have sand in the traps, ball or club washers anywhere, no sand to fill divots, the cart path is like driving on a neglected country road. My favorite part about this course is the difficulty and layout. I would imagine playing in August will be way better.
