Warm day, good conditions, friendly staff, excellent value

Iron Play delivered an outstanding golf experience.

Great value at $14 to walk 18 holes. Nice that this par 3 has nice grass from tee to green.

Andrew, in the pro shop, is helpful, friendly, and professional.

Greens are beautiful and smooth. Iron Play is an excellent for your short game, Which I need.

Iron Play resembles courses in Great Britain with run up to several greens. Yesterday, it was very windy, similar to that part of the world (I played the Old Course at St. Andrews). I love those conditions, since I have a lower ball flight.

Par 3 courses are great also because I played in 2 hours, leaving time for other things during the day.

Cooler with bottled water on the 8th tee was a nice touch.

Iron Play combines value, scenery, friendly staff, and challenge.

I highly recommend Iron Play Par 3 as a course that is great for anyone's short game!

Great Par 3

Iron Play is a hidden gem in Summerfield, NC. The 18-hole par 3 will challenge you in many different ways. Holes 3,4 and 5 on the front could be found on any full-size course and the bunkers on the back will challenge you to actually put the ball on the green. The greens are always healthy, and while they are not cur every day, you can always count on a true roll. Their are some bad spots in parts of the fairway, but again, it's a par 3 course - put it on the green and you won't have to worry about a bare spot here or there. Course is extremely walkable, but will also provide you with a moderate workout - 3 of us finished 18 holes in ~3 hours. Save the money you would spend at the driving range and spend it here to work on the parts of the game that will actually make a difference on your scorecard.

Great place to work on the short game

Fun course. From the tips it's only 2000yds. Greens are pretty , a tad bit slow, but great Bermuda. I feel my short game has improved playing here. Not alot of amenities, it's best to bring a cold drink with you, but they do have snacks and drinks available. Walk 18 holes in about 2hrs.

I'll be back frequently
