Love this Golf Course perfect to my handicap
It's always in good shape
We play Carillon regularly. The overall layout is not difficult but it is fun. We play from the Blue tees, about 6,100 yards on the Red-White course. In spite of getting a lot of play, Carillon has some of the best fairways in the area. The greens are moderately difficult but roll well. Only $40 for seniors to ride so the pricing is actually better than a Golf Now Hot Deal.
Best course
It was the best course I have ever played in Chicago. Fairway was so good that I felt like playing on a carpet. Definitely I would like to visit again.
Great course but staff was ridiculous
First of all, it was our first time playing this course and no one told us where to go or anything. When we got to the 9th hole we noticed after we played the hole that we weren’t at the club house to get some hotdogs so we went back and looked and we somehow ended up on a whole different course hole 3, they need signs up after course reds 8 hole to tell you how to get to hole 9. Anyways, we finally found hole 9 played it, got to the turn and the course ranger was so rude to us for no reason telling us “we’re 50 minutes behind pace” and we explained what happened and you’d think any rational person would understand but no he just kept saying your behind like he wanted us to stop going to the bathroom, getting drinks and food to make up time, needless to say we ignored him because we were hungry and didn’t feel us being behind was our fault because of the way their courses are laid out. Keep in mind there was absolutely no one behind us because the only other golfers were in an outing on an entirely different course so pace of play did not matter at that point. Needless to say, this ruined our entire back 9 because it was so frustrating. I wish I would have got the guys name but I didn’t, he was older and had a mustache. If you see this you old geezer just know if see you again…you’re definitely getting a crop dusted by me and the boys!
Spacious Beautiful Coursw
Holes are separated from each other. Challenging but fair. Very good conditioned course.
Not sure how they can justify ALL of the water cooler "houses" being empty - on a day when heat index = over 100!? The course has the holders for the thermos/coolers, but nothing installed. I would think they should consider the risk of heat exhaustion (especially for older folks) on days like this!
Excellent Course
The course was in great condition playing from whites the Par 4s were fun making it easier for birdie opportunities and the Silver for my wife were a great challenge.
Family outing we enjoyed the courses Red/White.
Thanks
Very nice!
Had a great time. Course was in good shape. Layout is fair but not terrifically difficult; we played the mid tees.
Everyone was very nice. The only complaint I would have is that they need GPS carts. Other than that I thought it was fine.
