Bolingbrook Golf Club

We found out after we arrived that the whole course was cart path only with no explanation why other than we realized that there is a pro- golf tournament there in two weeks. The cost for the round should’ve been discounted based on the fact that we’re walking most of the course so we should’ve been discounted at least the cost of the car rental. Then to mention that I’ve played at this golf course before, and never experienced 5 inch rough. Again, I understand they’re preparing for a pro Golf event, but it just made our round miserable.

Pace of Play is horrible out there and there are no rangers anywhere to be seen. Inflated prices due to the LIV tournament. Layout is solid but green speeds are terribly slow for a course that charges $150. Nearby Naperbrook is 1/3 the price and has faster greens. They also charge $25/hr to use their short game area, which is just hilarious.

I recently had the pleasure of playing Bolingbrook, which was my 10th time here atleast. I brought in a high end client from work as I knew it was going to be a nice hot day!

They were currently setting up the course for the upcoming LIV event and there was no mention of that via the courses website or via the Golf Now website, so upon arrival, the place was a disaster. Upon trying to check in with the golf shop, the older gentleman was on his phone and I waited for him for 10 minutes to get off his phone. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to interrupt him. We checked in and went out early.

Upon playing, we were happily provided with waters from an employee which was greatly appreciated considering it was 97 degrees out that day.

The biggest frustrations were throughout the day when employees of the course were working on setting up scaffolding, driving trucks and golf carts through your fairways and holes, and they wouldn’t stop while you were hitting. They went on with business as usual.

My overall argument was, them setting up for the event is acceptable but should be noted in the website or while booking rounds with a discounted rate. I wouldn’t have taken a vip executive to the course had I known this because this was an eye sore to him and to the course. It was a great day for golf, but it was overshadowed by the lack of respect by the courses employees, staff, and grounds crew!

It was very wet - cart path only - and still a lot of fun. Nice greens. Will be back asap.

Fun to be able to play a course that the Pros play

Quit after 15 holes...last 3 would have taken another hour to play

They charge a premium price at +$100 per round but yet you’re waiting 5-10 on every tee box, on every shot with no ranger in sight. The course is really nice, links style, and challenging but these prices and the pace of play just don’t add up.

Why in the world is this course as hot deals priced at $90-$130???? I played this course 100 times over the last few years. All hot deals in the $30 range. I couldn't care less about LIV being there. The area is wealthy, granted, but $100 hot deals at late tee times is criminal.

If you are paying thelis price you are a part of the problem regarding golfnow charging obscene increases on tee times.

Took a ride over to play Bolingbrook since I heard they were hosting the LIV GOLF Tour. Lets begin with the facts....

I've played pretty much everywhere in the Chicago area, all the top ranked public courses. This heathland style golf course is the absolute best bang for your buck. Designed by hall of fame architect Arthur Hills & Steve Forrest, the green complexes they have here are absolutely outstanding. Bolingbrook demands pinpoint accuracy off the tee and with your approach shots into the correct sections of the greens to score well putting a premium on course management.

The practice facility Bolingbrook GC has is enormous, and the 76,000 square foot clubhouse is absolutely beautiful. Quite simply put you cannot find a better public golf experience anywhere in Chicagoland! Bolingbrook Golf Club is golf at its finest in its purest form.
