Don’t be 10 mins late
So I got behind a truck hauling a tractor coming from Cox’s Creek, HWY 480 is narrow and curvy so you can’t pass . Got there know one on #1 pro shop guy let’s a foursome go because we were 10 mins. Late fine no big deal the two of us practicing putting waiting for our name to be called for 20 mins then he lets another foursome go ahead of Us. So I went and asked if he forgot us and he tried to turn it around because we had used a hot deal GolfNow and made me feel unwelcome using the GN reservation and added how lucky he even let us play. I promise you know one was on #1 or was it stacked up! Rude is all I can say!!
Best bargain in golf
This is a tremendous course in great condition. Weekends get busy and slower. Weekdays are phenomenal. We played after several days of rain so water was an issue but the course was draining better than can be expected. I think it’s the best public course in KY.

Long Round
After a lot of rain the course was expectedly wet but still in very good condition. Unfortunately pace of play was terrible. While it wasn’t cart path only the total time for the round was over 5 hours which is much too long.

Wet, no roll
Fun track- Front nine pretty holes. Hills on back nine.
Interesting. Greens had hidden breaks indistinguishable for first time at venue players. Wet today- no roll- played longer then expected !

Playing conditions
Some of the Greens on the first nine were in poor condition with bare spots, The 11th hole was closed to play which is the signature hole for the course

Wet but still good!
Overall course layout was good .. not a lot of water .. course was wet and was cart path only and it needed to be as we got a lot of rain right before our tee time .. had read previous reviews late last year that the greens were best .. greens have recovered ... overall the course was good and would recommend it. Price was reasonable!

Beautiful course
Great links style course through the foothills of Kentucky. Well maintained and challenging. A definite must -visit 1/2 south or Louisville. I think I’ll add this course to the bourbon trail visit later this year.

No sign on hole closure
#11, their signature hole, was closed. No sign posted, no warning given. Greens were beat up and spotted with weeds. I love this course typically, great track. But this is not the time to play it.

Nice course
Played in winter conditions. Fairways were still brown, but in plenty good shape. A little damp, so not much roll. All in all conditions were great. Greens were in great shape for this time of year. Number 11 was closed, but we were told to play another par 3 twice or a makeshift par three form one of the par fours. The staff was very friendly and professional.

Poorly Prepared
The course is always in decent shape and they definitely have a high regard for their course by charging what they do for a round. My only problem is that they didn’t have carts available and ready or range balls to be purchased. The greens were also not the best they they could be even for the time of year. On top of the poor planning for a golfers to a course of this level with the above, you can find other courses just as good for less money probably. Just not a good experience form the word go here.

The more I play it the better I LIKE the Course
Good value for a Very NICE Course
It was a wet couple of weeks.. Soo we were ON THE PATH... It seems like it is often ON THE PATH.
Maybe that is Why it is in Very Good Condition.

Chilly Day
Cart paths only, fairways sort of wet but expected due to recent weather. Greens getting pockmarked from play but still rollable. All in all a good day, glad I had my cart cover since members had covers on some of the carts that weren’t rentable. Might want to offer covers

Horrible Greens
6 guys on a golf trip for 4 days. Played Legendary Run and StoneLick in Cincinnati and Covered Bridge close to Louiseville. These were absolutely the worst greens we played all weekend. It is really hard to review a course when the greens are this bad. We had some of the best greens we have ever played on at the other three courses and these were honestly some of the worst. They were borderline not puttable in spots. Layout is nice but you can't enjoy the round if you are playing well and trying to put up a number. We payed about the same here as everywhere else and the value was awful. We should have been informed by someone that the greens were in this kind of shape, the price should reflect that as well based on the area value. We would have chose somewhere else, it was a waste of $50 a person for our group for sure. It sounds like reading the reviews that the staff knows about the problem, I am not sure how you charge so much and how you don't let the public know when they book. Whatever, too many good courses to play this one again, stay away unless the greens improve dramatically or you like paying full pop and conceeding two putts all day.
Greens are rough.
Time to hire a new greens keeper. Greens were some of the worst I played in years but still had fun.
