Lovely course to play nine holes

Lovely course, great condition really enjoyed myself. The one drawback was the frequency of planes flying over but other than that excellent course in great condition.

Corrstown Orchard Course

Excellent evening golf at the Orchard 9-hole course.

Well laid out with strategically placed hazards which (next time) will make me think. :).

Greens were in excellent condition.

Would definitely play here again

Corrstown Airport

Let's start with the few positives

Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Clubhouse looks amazing (although I didn't go in). I was in the Pro Shop, it looked impressive.

I played The Meadow Course first. My tee time was 2:20pm. The chap in the Pro Shop said I could tee off now (1:25pm) Meadow course, because The Woman were playing The River Course first at that time. We all know how it feels being stuck behind the ladies.

Negatives

The Meadow Course if I'm honest, was dull flat and boring. Absolutely nothing to get excited about. Flat boring Parkland Course. Playing at Corrstown felt like I was playing Golf at Terminal 1 in Dublin Airport. An absolute joke. Planes over head coming in and out of Dublin Airport EVERY 30 SECONDS!!!! NO JOKE SERIOUSLY!!!!!! Extremely off putting THE WHOLE 4 HOURS ILL NEVER GET BACK!

The rate at which these planes were landing or leaving Dublin Airport was frightening. Especially considering the extremely high percentage of Illegal undocumented refugees coming here. Look up #Agenda30 (SCARY)!!!!

Back to Golf...

Second 9 River Course... (I understand where the name comes from) First hole short par3. Large Puddles of water on the green. Absolute shambles. Again I found this course fairy average. Nothing to get excited about... I must of looked up at the sky over 300 times watching massive Jumbo Jets over head. I didn't think the par 5's were extremely long enough to be considered proper par 5's.

Having only just played the course, I honestly can't remember (without having to look at the scorecard) what hole was what!!! It was like every hole just ran into one another.

Oh and when I walked over to play the Meadow Course (I had to ask a kind helpful member, which way. As the 1st hole was marked 10th hole. Talk about confusing. To add to the confusion after I played the 1st/10th hole... the signage to the 2nd/11th hole was wrong. You have to walk out of the course across the road and around the corner. I walked the wrong way and turned back. Absolute shambles again.

Imagine being stuck in Dublin Airport for 5 hours. Imagine you're plane is delayed... you are bored... someone hands you a set of golf clubs and says... fancy 18 holes?

Literally that bad. Thank god I only paid €20

NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Nice game

Fun course with good conditions. Only annoying thing was the constant noise of planes from Dublin taking off and landing.

St.Patricks Day Bogey

Lucky I arrived early, for when I checked in, I was told, no trolleys were permitted and we had to carry our bags. This would not have been an issue if my golf partner and I were advised in advance. There seems to be a disconnect between GolfNow and its members. At no point was I advised if this before I arrived and it was too late to change bags. My partner was just returning to play after 3 months absence due to a back issue. Carrying bags was not an option

I love Corrstown golf course, have played there multiple times, 3 lovely and well maintained 9 hole courses. But I can't help feel that both GolfNow and Corrstown could have done better in their efforts to communicate the change in rules for the day. Surely in this day and age at a minimum, they could have sent an email.....never-mind a phone call. The mind boggles

My rating considering we could not play is inconsequential
