Frog Hollow Golf Club in Middletown boasts the title of "best public golf course" in Delaware. The course has a links-style layout that is challenging but still player-friendly enough to appeal to beginners, seniors, and juniors. The layout is wide open and quite forgiving but there are still plenty of hazards with which to contend. There are more than 50 strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course. Their thoughtful placement makes up the bulk of the layout's challenges. There are ponds that come into play on six holes as well as tall native grasses that appear along the fairways and greens. The wind is often a factor on the course too and will test your accuracy even further. Frog Hollow Golf Club's par 3s and par 5s are manageable but the par 4s will test even the best players.

Greens
Good open course. Half of the greens were in poor condition.
very nice course
Nice course with a lot of different looks and challenges. Its always in nice shape and is a really good value.
Always a good round at Frog Hollow
Never can say anything bad about Frog hollow always in good shape and pace of play moves well. Always enjoy playing here whenever we head down that way.
Growing out of Winter Conditions
Course is getting better every day. Winter didn't hurt course much and is growing out more and more every day.
Maintenance is great. Bunkers were all raked.
Course is really open on most holes for fade/slice mis-shots (my miss).
Angry GM
My group and I will return for golf, but frog hollow has lost our business in their pub. Seeing how disgraceful it was to see the older manager yell at his pro shop girl and bartender right in front of us. Very disrespectful and uncomfortable
Staff
Great course and very challenging layout. I have played there numerous of times and the staff is always friendly. My only complaint is the GM, Jimmy, the place would do so much better without his drama and being angry all the time.My friends will not be back as long he is there. Sorry
It was a dark and stormy...
Ours was in good shape for early spring. Greens were true, but slower than in the summer. For this time of year it wasn't in good shape.
Nice Layout
The course is in pretty good shape for March. Will be much better when things green up. Most of all the yardage markers in the fairways are un-readable. They need to touch them up so you can read them.
Must play course
Fun course. Always in great condition. Greens were smooth and challenging at perfect speed. Course never boring because of hole sequenciing. Good mix of short medium and long 3,4,&5's. Bunkers acceptable but could use some work
Great to Play now
Great shape for winter conditions. Will be excellent when spring arrives.
Not a bad course, just needs some help
Overall it's a pretty good course, in decent shape for February for the most part. The only bad part is the clubhouse, the front desk staff are generally not friendly by any stretch, but other than rude staff it's not too bad.
One of the better courses in Delaware
The course was in excellent condition from tee to green and every hole. The only exception was the sand traps that were more like dirt pits with rocks so stay out of them. Very nice course, would definitely play again soon.
Best Greens Around!!!
The Greens were rolling nice and true today. The course is in exceptional shape considering the heat and rain that we had in the last month. GREAT price for a nice course.

We had a lot of rain the day before and some of the holes you could not take the cart. We realize that it has been real dry and the course has taken a beating. It looks like they are working to bring it back to the condition it was when we played it about 2 months ago. The staff was good.
Always worth the trip!
Everyon knows it's been a HOT summer. Frog hollow has held up very well. Always playable. Greens always above average. The fairway was rough on 17 and it seemed no one fixed a ball Mark on the par three 8the. I did at least 10 of them . They have filled in some sand traps with sod or grass on a few holes. 7 and 14 come to mind. All in all its in very good shape. I have played here 6 times this year. I keep coming back because I haven't been disappointed in the course or staff yet. My scores, that's another story!! The last 6 holes get progressively harder coming home.
Course details
The people who work at this course must be blind, it says on their website that the course is in great condition, so I drive over an hour to play this course and the grass at my house was in better shape than the grass at this course. I wouldn't play this course for a few months until it gets in better shape.
Nice Layout
Really enjoy this layout. Most par 4's are not that long, but you can still hit driver (250+) on most. Course conditions were very good. Watch out for hazards - you'll be very lucky to find your ball once it leaves the mowed areas. Par 4 17th has very tough approach with large tree shadowing the right side of the green, and a water hazard on the left. A very sloped green runs down towards the hazard.

Nice Course
This is a nice course for the price, we got rained out on the 16th. Course was in good shape except for bunkers, and there are plenty of them. I think they make the course very challenging, but they consist of alot of clay and small gravel that I think could damage your clubs or scuff them up. I did not find many with good sand, that is my only complaint.

Nice course but needs some upkeep
It was a beautiful day and the course appearance at first looked great. The fairways and tee boxes were kept in good conditions but the greens we a bit rough and not maintained well. The bunkers were in poor condition. Most of them were muddy and full of rocks and stones. They really need to get the stones out and add fresh sand to them.
