White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park
About
White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park is a challenging but playable layout that is well known amongst locals. At just over 7,000 yards, the golf course offers a fair amount of challenges. Water hazards come into play on most holes, demanding several difficult forced carries. There are also some spots on the course that can be quite narrow. The terrain is mostly flat but the layout provides enough diversity to appeal to both low and high handicappers. White Clay Creek has a strong reputation not only for the golf course but also for its various amenities, which give it the feel of a private club. Staff assists you with getting your clubs to and from your car and use of the driving range and chipping green are included in the reasonable fee.

Great Course but too Much Carry from the Tee
The course is very nice. It is less than 6,000 yards from the normal tees. But,15 holes have forced carry off the tee with some requiring 180 yards plus of carry. People lose a lot of balls at this unique set-up. The course is pretty easy for big hitters but a challenge if you can't consistently carry 180 yards.
Personal worst experience here ever
Saturday 1:20. Expect it to be a bit slow. Some kind of “modified cart path only” (no carts in fairways) Every hole we played took 20 minutes. 3 hour front 9. Spoke to a ranger on the 7th that said a group stopped playing so he expected it to get better. Instead of going backwards and telling people that, go forward, find the problem, and have them pick it up and move on to the next hole, or two! Got to 15 tee in a solid 4and an half hours, and noticed NO ONE on 17 or 18. Waited a few minutes. Said our goodbyes to our playing partners and skipped 15 and 16. Played the par 3 17th and waived to our playing partners who were just leaving the 15th tee!!
Absolutely no chance to actually get to “play”. Wait 5 minutes or so on every shot, and probably twice that to tee off completely ruined our experience.
I like to play WCCCC maybe once a year. Good course usually in above average shape. Always on the pricer side, and a fun challenge for me. But the pace was ATROCIOUS and UNACCEPTABLE!! I’ll see you guys next year .
Cart Path Only
Seems like every time I play this course it is cart path only or rough, seriously makes golf suck
Great Course - Too Much Carry off the Tee for an Amateur Golfer
The course is a very nice challenging layout. When I played the tee boxes were beat up and there were some bad patches in the fairways. Green were in good shape. Players don't replace divots or sand seed them and they don't fix ball marks on the greens. The course is beautiful but almost 15 holes have forced carries with several requiring a carry of 175 to 190 yards off the tee which is a challenge for the average amateur golfer who plays the regular tees.
Another good, but slow day on the course
Played in a foursome on a Monday morning. Course was pretty busy. We got partnered with another twosome. The course was in pretty good shape, but wet, cart path only on half the holes, and signs of some pretty significant receded flooding on certain holes, such as 8, 9,11 and 16. But the round simply took too long at 4:40. Much of this was I assume because of the.cart path rules. It’s something to keep in mind if it has been rainy.
Great golf
Tee boxes, fairways, greens and bunkers all in great shape. Love the brand new carts. Course was always one of best around but Joe the superintendent has made it even better.
Tough Course - Play Smart
This course is a bear, if you’re going to score well youve got to plan those shots, not a grip and rip track. Greens are dash and slippery, if you get a round where the greens keeper hates you then expect every pin to be on a crest or slope.
Godspeed.
Great course, good value, a bit soggy
I played on a Tuesday midday on a beautiful sunny day. The course is always challenging (8,9,10, and lately #11 have destroyed my scores!), but it’s beautiful and the staff is great. After the recent rainstorms, the course was soggy, with cart paths only on half the holes and 90 degrees on the rest. Those much needed restrictions led to a 4:40 round, which is too long, but understandable.

the two of us were 9 min ahead of pace but I felt we were being pressured by the twosome behind us. There should be a way to get people to slow down
in addition to speeding them up. there was no food service anywhere except for light snacks. since I missed breakfast and lunch, I was hungry. There should at least be cold sandwiches available from the fridge. some holes are hard to clear over the water and brush if you don’t hit it 200 yards in the air, maybe make white tees within 150 yards of clearing brush/water.
Conditions were great considering the amount of rain the night before.
Conditions were great considering the amount of rain the night before. Hard course, 14 handicap and I couldn't break 90
