About
White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park is a challenging but playable layout that is well known amongst locals. At just over 7,000 yards, the golf course offers a fair amount of challenges. Water hazards come into play on most holes, demanding several difficult forced carries. There are also some spots on the course that can be quite narrow. The terrain is mostly flat but the layout provides enough diversity to appeal to both low and high handicappers. White Clay Creek has a strong reputation not only for the golf course but also for its various amenities, which give it the feel of a private club. Staff assists you with getting your clubs to and from your car and use of the driving range and chipping green are included in the reasonable fee.

Cart path only is killer
It was cart path due to rains but
Yikes it’s tuff regardless
I’ll return again but when it’s NOT cart path only
Fabulous layout and the greens are just a blast
Great course and the marshals where thereto maintain pace and to ensure a 4 1/4 hr play

Good Track
Upon arrival the bag drop is out front, easier to walk from each side of the clubhouse to the pro shop which is on the lower level. Young lady behind the counter was pleasant and guided us through the process, carts have your time on them. Practice facility is top notch all grass free balls. Short game area was a bonus. Course was tough for group that had never played it and the GPS was nice but visually it’s tough on certain holes to know what right and what’s going to kill you. Rangers out in force which was good, and beverage cart (2) kept us hydrated. Toughest track I’ve played in a while, need your A game

5 stars if pace of play wasn’t over 5 hours
Everything about the course was top notch, except they allowed a 3 group outing to play way too slow causing us to wait on almost every shot and a round over 5 hours. No ranger on a Saturday afternoon is unacceptable.

Beautiful course, VERY well-run facility
White clay creek is a beautiful course and is very well run. There are numerous staff members the moment you pull into the lot eager to assist you and guide you through your round. The course itself it meticulously kept with the greens, fairways and rough all in prestige condition. They do a great job expertly managing the tee times so we never had to wait for players ahead of us or feel rushed by anyone behind us even on a peak Summer weekend. Would highly recommend this course for a great day of golf.

A great day at White Clay Crrek
From the moment you pull up in your car til the end of your round: a perfect day. Staff is awesome.. The course is in beautiful shape, greens gorgeous and fast.
The 19th hole afterwards was delicious including the new Delaware Park Kolch 1937 beer. Went GREAT with the Bratwurst

Great Experience
White Clay even after overnight rainstorm was in fabulous condition. Fairways were outstanding. Greens rolled really well. Just a spectacular place. An A++++ course. A wonderful golf day.

Pick up the pace
The course is in great condition. The greens were rolling nicely, and as usual the overall course conditions were exceptional. Normally pace of play is good, but not this round. We waited on every tee and almost every approach shot. There was no Player Assitant to keep groups moving which resulted in a five hour round.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!
Nice find on App
I had never played or heard of this course. I was lucky enough to book a tee time at discount rate. Typically costs around $100 I got for $68. I got a great deal. Range balls included in green fee which was great. The had a nice practice green along with two chipping greens. Staff was great. They also have GPS carts which helped for someone who never played the course. It was cart path only due to previous rain, so that also helped out wit distances and club selection when you walked to your ball. I only got to play the front nine as a thunderstorm came through. Even with me booking on the app, I was able to get a rain check which was surprising. If you get a chance to play I would recommend even at full price. If you do, please grab my Yellow Srixon ball in the fairway on ten. I left it there when the sirens went off.

Played Wilmington South week before and white clay was in better condition. My fav. Course in new castle county.

The Clay needs a better plan or more supervision executing the plan
The course is great very challenging and you will have highs and lows. Play it from the back to get the best out of each hole. If you can’t play it from the back, then there are other courses in the area that may be a better fit.
Anyway, we finished our 4:30 cart path only round and drove up to the clubhouse. The helper asked to clean our clubs and take them to the lot. Great, didn’t ask us if we wanted a ride or what type of car we had. We raced him into the parking lot and flagged him down. He dropped off the clubs and we can’t believe the club needs to get our bags out so fast,. Leaving then on the rack at a public club is an invitation for problems. There has got to be a better way.
