Heron Glen Golf Course

Great course. Would definitely play again. Challenging but fair. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I wills ay the sand in the traps was extremely soft. This is much better than the hard sand I often see at other courses but there is a good chance of getting ball plugged when you hit it in one so beware. I did have a slight frustration with golf carts which stopped with no warning or signs near what was thought to be restricted area but I was not close and my partners did not have the issue so maybe my gps was a little off? Great round regardless and lots of fun.

Being from New York City, it's tough to find a quality course within driving distance. While this seems farther than Bethpage, it's well worth it. Course has a great layout, good opportunities for scoring, and is very well maintained. Played it late in the year (super windy), with some locals, and it was a lot of fun. If you choose to come here for the first time, just know you'll want to come back again to get a second shot at this track!! Well done to the staff and course maintenance teams :)

Round is expensive compared to other courses in the area north such as Neshanic and Quail Brook

As someone who doesn't play the upper echelon of golf courses, I feel like Heron Glen brought the atmosphere, amenities, and golf experience of a $200 round at a much more reasonable price.
