Nice course
Beautiful coure the TCA's were in great condition. Fairways were in very good condition, greens were soaking wet and never dried up must have rained the night before. Still a fantastic course 5 stars
Challenge
Windy conditions and first time playing made this even more challenging but it’s a great layout and will definitely play here again. Of all the courses played this month while visiting Sandbridge (both Dunes and Lakes) are the best courses we’ve been on. Conditions were great and courses are excellent
A Gem
I played the Dunes course often when it first opened. But back then I was only a visitor. Now I live here and will play here often. Challenging but fair. The best courses reward good shots and punish poor ones. That’s Sandridge Dunes. I’m originally from Chicagoland and have played Medinah #3, Kemper Lakes and Coghill #4. In Florida I’ve played PGA National and TPC Sawgrass; yet Sandridge Dunes remains my favorite course. Maybe it’s the memories. I don’t know for sure. But I do know I love to play there. It was tougher back in the day, as much of the overgrowth has been cut back, but the original course architect did a marvelous job with an awesome piece of property. Some spots are now bare of grass, and the fairways should be about 1/12 of an inch longer, but all in all it’s still a great public course we are lucky to have.
Excellent staff. Picturesque course. Good challenges.
Keep It Up
Drove from Orlando to play this course, and it was incredible. Such a good layout, great challenge - really the only thing that wasn't up to snuff was they didn't have a beverage cart.
Greens rolled great - probably 10-11 (even though it was soft)
Tees - No issue here
Fairways/Rough - Very fair.
Sandridge.
Beautiful course and challenging layout. Specially when the wind is blowing. Definitely will be back.
Pro Shop Staff Doesn’t Care
Had a prepaid GN tee time at 12:06 the day after Christmas. Showed up, pro shop has no record of my reservation. I showed them my confirmation email. No good. They told me I had to call GN, which I did. I was put on hold for over half hour. When no one answered at GN, I asked the folks working in the pro shop if they could try calling GN and was told that they have the same phone number as I did for GN. Finally, after no resolution, I left the golf course. I decided to stop on side of the road and try calling GN again. This time I actually found a number to call GN customer service if you are an actual golf course that is experiencing difficulty. I was told by those folks that every golf course that uses GN can call directly to customer service to address issues such as the one I had, immediately. The staff at Sandridge did nothing to help and were very dismissive and smug about the entire situation which could have been handled by them with one 2 minute phone call.
I drove an hour and half eagle way for that experience only to be treated like dirt. I’ll never consider playing Sandridge ever again.
