GREAT COURSE
I really like this course great layout, challenging get to use about all your clubs in your bag. the greens are in great shape but fast. fairways were also in great condition I will be playing this course again soon
Public course with Country Club conditions
Two 18 hole tracks that are very different. Dunes course is longer then the Lakes course but multiple tees help you play your favorite yardages. Great layout with plenty of trouble if you are wayward off the tees and fairways..
. Great practice facilities with separate chipping burnkers traps and putting..greens are in great condition for summer.
Tough to get a tee time in the winter so don’t get to play it as much as I would like.
Really nice course
Didn't play well but will definitely play here again. Greens and fairways were nearly perfect and the course layout was very consistent.
Great Florida course
Got a great deal on Golfnow with rewards points that I used for my wife and I during our stay in Florida for the month of March. The parking lot was packed and the cart guys seemed to be busy getting people set up and out. Staff was friendly and seemed to appreciate the business. We were paired up with a pleasant couple that made our round that much better. The wind was relentless in the 20-30mph range so that made a challenging course that much more interesting!! Greens were quick and rolled true.. in comparison we usually golf courses in Michigan which vary greatly in how fast or slow they are. So far our 6 or so rounds in fla this month.. indicate the greens down here are fast...I would guess a 10 or better on the stimp...no official confirmation of that just my opinion. This course seems to be county owned If I understood correctly. They have 18(Dunes) and 18 (Lakes)...this review is for the Dunes. There hasn't been much rain here so far and the fairways were pretty dry with a lot of tight lies where club/ball contact was critical without much of a chance to take a divot. Traps were decent...not the best I have seen nor were they the worst..Will have to try this course again with a lot less wind to test my skills again soon
That’s why they call it the dunes
Good solid course, can’t complain about anything, greens nice, tees nice fairways good.
All around really good.
Very solid course
Very wind day, it was fun, tuff with the wind, but fair. Nice quick greens, course in grate shape.staff very friendly
Good price on a good course but too slow
Front 9 was fine but the back nine had 4 groups on one hole from time to time. Good course but I want to do something else when it gets this slow.
A well designed layout with many many seniors
As others have mentioned, the pace of play was abysmal, the round took 4.5 hours but should have been an hour less. When you’re playing in retirement central, expect the group in front of you to be compromised of a foursome that can’t hit the ball 150 yards. If you can put up with that, you will enjoy a very well thought out test of golf, with angles, risk reward shots, and a mixture of great golf holes. The golf course deserves 5 stars. The pace of play deserves zero.
One of best public golf courses i've played
i played with 2 friends who are also members of private clubs. All three of us were so impressed with the layout, course conditions, and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. It was a really good experience. I cant say enough positive things about the staff.
Very nice public course
the course has 72 holes, we played the Dunes course. The course was in excellent shape with a nice layout. I was surprised at the good pace of play considering the traffic. The greens were fast with tough pin placement but a lot of fun.
Love the Course
Course was very busy so it was a long day. Otherwise, as usual, the course was in great shape and a pleasure to play.
Very Nice public course
Played the Dunes course. Very nice layout and good quick and true greens. Excellent value for the $40 golf now hot deal price but I’m not sure I would want to pay much more than that, but its probably worth $60 for in season golf.
