About
Vista Plantation Golf Club is an Arthur Hills-designed course that is conveniently located near all of Vero Beach's attractions. The course is just a short drive from the scenic beaches, which are part of Florida's Treasure Coast. The course is compact but challenging with small, fast greens and tight fairways. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. The golf course is challenging enough for avid players yet forgiving enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence. It's a player-friendly layout that is great for beginners and seniors. Though the golf course may not require distance, your short game skills will be put to the test. There is not only water but also numerous strategically placed bunkers. Vista Plantation is a golf course that will make you think and you'll also need to be accurate.

Too slow
Need to separate tee times or control pace of play. Played 4 holes in over an hour. Would have been 4.5 hours plus on an executive course.
Thank you for your review. We’re so sorry to hear about your experience and strive for only 5 stars! After reviewing, we quickly started blocking tee times every hour to control the pace of play issues. Our tee times are separated by the industry average but we agree, next year we’ll add a few extra minutes in-between each tee time to provide our clients with a better experience. Courses in our area saw unprecedented growth this season which inevitably caused slower play and caught us a little by surprise. Please give our Pro Shop a call and ask to speak with management as we’d love to make this right for you. Again, thanks for your review and hope you’ll give us another shot!
Challenging short course
First time playing here with 3 friends. You absolutely need to know where to position shots and put the ball there. A lot of places to get in trouble. Greens were quick, rolled true but we found them hard to read first time playing here. I really enjoyed it, my buds not so much but they sacrificed a ton of balls.

Great short course
Played this course 4 times in the past 2 weeks. Although the course is short, it is very challenging and in great condition. I perfect place to test your short game.

Neat
A short course but you need to play smart. Several holes will jump up and bite you. Super fast greens. Will add to my rotation of courses to play.

Don't Play On Thursdays
Our foursome plays here quite often and have never experienced the problem we had this time. As there was a long backup to the first tee, we were told to tee off from the tenth tee. We complied and played that nine at a reasonable pace. When we got back to the clubhouse to play the front nine we were told that "they" should not have instructed us to tee off from ten and suggested we go have lunch as it would be quite some time before the first tee was available. Fortunately another gentlemen also said we should not have teed off from ten, but he said we could play the back nine again and he would try to get us on which he was able to do after about a half an hour wait. I don't know why the initial backlog on the first tee unless they overbooked but it was not a pleasant experience.,

After researching this, our staff definitely made some mistakes regarding your foursome. There was a shift change during your first nine and the afternoon crew were not aware of the original decision to launch you off the back. We have coached our team and this will not happen again. We strive for only 5 stars and hope to be given the chance to gain those 4 additional stars very soon. Please give our Pro Shop a call and ask for management, we’d love to make this right for you!
