Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & Curling Club
About
Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & Curling Club is centrally located within 15 minutes of the Edmonton Area, St. Albert, Morinville, and Cardiff. It first opened as a nine-hole course in the 1950s. Since the second nine wasn't added until 1996, there is a distinct difference between the front and back nine that makes it feel like you're getting two golf courses in one. The front, the original nine, is a more traditional parkland layout while the back is a more open links nine. You'll face a different set of challenges on each. The smaller greens on the front are indicative of the time when it was built and the size will also test your shot placement skills. In contrast, Edmonton Garrison Memorial's back nine has large and undulating greens as well as more strategically placed mounding.

Good track
Course is in fairly good shape but tee boxes need to be levelled, seeded and cut... some are like teeing it up in a farmers field.
Plays like a links style course
Really great value for the money . Good early season conditions . There are some older holes and some that have been redone . Lots of Canadian Military artifacts and plaques honouring our service men and women
Was average
Crappy weather.
Got paired up with a couol if guys that didn’t take golf serious at all. No big deal but wish I played solo.
Felt like I spent much for little worth
Staff was great. Would try again if I had a partner to play with. Was just in town and wanted to play a quick round. Ended up only playing 9 holes. Not course fault. Will try again. It was raining. Nice course though. Just bad situation.
A little wet in places, no bother. Course in nice condition. Only a few greens have spots still not back from winter, but rest are very good. Holes 2 and 3 are pain for GPS, must be practise hole beside them screwing up the measurements.
Good value
Very good value for $24.friendly staff. Course in fair condition. Better than some in the area after long winter; for fraction of cost
Great Value!
Course is filling in well.
Great course for the value and some great challenge to keep you focused!
Great Course
Challenging yet forgiving for an intermediate player. Great course!
Nice again !
What can i say other than i had a good round again .
I try to play this course as much as i can this year because it's in fair driving distance from home but more important , i just like this course . staff is allways friendly , the groundkeepers are doing good too improve the conditions constantly . I played the last round with a retiered couple and we had a good time together .
Good place to be , thumbs up .!
Cheers see you soon.
Beautiful day
It was a fun day golfing. One suggestion, marshal or starter should group players in foursome as much as possible. As I experienced, (I’m playing single) there are single player, another with two, or three. Waiting on almost every hole even though I passed two groups ahead.
Good location
Early in the season already in fair condition.
Putting greens al little bumpy but I'm sure it will improve soon.
Staff in clubhouse & proshop very friendly and helpful. Looks like a family business. Thanks good job.
Definitely more rounds following.
Greens shaved and full of holes, getting ready for summer. Course too dry. will be better later.
Edmonton Garrison Memorial
Pretty good price for the course (especially playing super-twilight after 6pm). The greens on a couple holes were very dry.
This is a very forgiving course that you can not get into too much trouble with. The tee yardage sign are gorgeous containing info about Canada's military history and are worth a read. Lots of dog legs that provide different shot types. Overall a fairly descent course.
Close to my home
Last round played on Oct 6 . 2017. Crew has already started with winterizing. Holes from aeration at tee's and some smell off fertilizer ( bad at times. Allover not a big issue. We played a few rounds at garrison this year, course was allways in good condition Gass is little to high outside the greens. Staff was always very friendly and helpful. Good sized clubhouse with great variety of drinks and food. Definitely coming back to play can't wait for Spring (GO OILERS GO! )
Eddie
Beautiful day course in good condition. Pace of play was excellent.
Eddie
Course is in descent shape considering how dry it is, greens are good. Pace of play was slow.
