Lacombe Golf and Country Club

About
Lacombe Golf & Country Club opened in 1925, but the site has roots in golf that date back even further to 1910 when golfers would use the former cow and sheep pasture to hit balls. It has undergone many changes over the years but the layout still retains its classic character. The golf course is situated along the PEII, midway between Calgary and Edmonton. The par-71 layout is routed through dense groves of mature, towering trees. They loom above the fairways and provide a backdrop for nearly every hole. When the trees are combined with the golf course's small, undulating greens, the layout becomes a true test of your accuracy. In addition to the golf course, Lacombe also offers a driving range and a practice putting green with a bunker.

It was a very windy day, and I felt that the course was well treed which helped a lot.
Great Course and Staff!!!!
Course was in great condition. Lots of elevation changes through out the course. Staff was amazing and the food at the Lounge was fantastic!!! Will definitely be back to play again.
Good value for the right price
Greens, tees and fairways in great shape and some improvements made over the years. Some elevated and undulating greens, and undulating fairways with uneven lies can make course more difficult than it's slope rating. I'm not a fan of the layout with some back to back par three's, and I wouldn't want to pay the normal track rate, but the course is in good shape and a good value as a hot deal.
i have not play Lacombe for maybe 10 years ! can't remember the lay out of the holes, would be nice if it shown on the score card instead of the 1 2 3 pin placement ! We are senior over 70 all 4 of us using the forward tee box!
