Cypresswood Golf & Country Club

First time playing this course as halfway travel distance for our foursome. The pace of play was great, because the locals are playing elsewhere. If you play this course, be prepared to hunt for your ball if it doesn’t end up in the fairway. To say the rough was rough is an understatement! Grass was above ankle to above knee in places, even if you found your ball, it was not easy advancing the ball, which made for a very unpleasant round, we won’t be back. In all fairness, the pro shop told me that they just don’t have the necessary course maintenance help. Sad! The staff was great, food (burger and brew special) was excellent. Until they can get this course in better condition, play at your own risk!!!

Course was in terrible shape. Tee boxes not mowed correctly. Fairways in decent shape but off the fairway and chances of finding your ball want good.

Teeboxes Fairways and Greens are kept up the most, the rough is ridiculously thick. I hit plenty of great drives straight down the middle and it trickled into the rough and lost a few balls. Wish the grass was cut a little more and it could be really nice.

Played Saturday and Sunday and was on golf now for $20. Cypress Wood has the usual golf club amenities but their staff is fantastic. From the pro shop to the restaurant we had fun. The course plays well and is challenging. Was a little wet but it’s rainy season right now but drainage was not that bad. Will play their many more times.

I haven't played many courses, since I am a beginner, but I was very impressed with Cypresswood over the other three courses I have played at. Everything is well kept, the staff is super friendly and the pace of play is great. I will definitely say, make sure you hit the fairway, or be prepared to spend a lot of time looking for your ball. That is some deep rough.

Really enjoyable day at Cypresswood just managing to finish before a huge thunderstorm arrived - slow players ahead the issue!!

This is a very fine layout designed by Rob Garl with well presented greens - not overly fast but plenty grass and roll well. I especially loved the par 5 third hole - beautifully set with the trees and lake down right hand side.

Staff friendly throughout and I look forward to returning and would recommend to anyone for a quality game.

Loved the layout of this course! The adjacent cattle farm gives a true nature appeal.

The course has great potential. Lack of maintenance shows in the fairways. A lot of overgrown areas, especially on the back nine. Most of the greens are in decent, if not great shape.

Check in was a breeze. Course is overly infested with weeds. Course hasn’t been cut probably due to the rains but even if, wow the weeds. Greens are typical Bermuda that are super grainy but actually rolled decent. Bunkers are ok but not kept. Tee boxes are shot and fairways are somewhat ok in certain areas. Just looks like a lack of funding. Course has potential but the cow pasture it runs within is actually taking over the course sadly.

Overall the course is in good shape. The tee boxes need some work. Very good value for your money.

So this was my first time playing this course in 5 years and I was amazed at how nice it was! It’s a long course so it was great to get some long iron approach shots. The layout is great and the bunkering in the fairways and green side were exceptional!

Its an ok place to play but it needs work the greens looked bad and the fairways are crap and the starter kept trying to put me in the group with other people I was a solo and wanted to play solo If I wanted to play with more people I would have invited my buddy’s

First time plating this course, but won’t be the last.

Great course for the price the 3stars for course condition was the greens were just airratted. Greens are usually quick and true
