Large bunkering is an element that makes Willowbrook GC more difficult than most layouts. Here is a greenside trap at hole one (par-5, 501 yards). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

The tee shot at the fifth, a fine par-3 of 124 yards, must carry a water hazard and a pair of bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

The seventh green, like many holes at Willowbrook, sits upon a mound and is guarded by a single, large bunker. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

This sweeping dogleg adds interest to the short par-5 ninth. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

Should have been closed
They are shutting down for 2 months to do some renovations they shouldn’t have still been open. We had to play the front 9 twice because the already started working on the back. The front 9 was in pretty much unplayable conditions. All the grass on greens was gone basically putting on dirt. Tee boxes were not mowed it looked like we were teeing off in the ruff. Fairways weren’t any better definitely not mowed in a while. The ruff was U.S open height. I hope they are closed if not don’t play there until they open back up.
Still great value for this course!
The back 9 was closed and the front 9 was played twice which was no inconvenience. The front nine greens were all straw covered and I’m not sure why.
The course itself was in good shape and it shows that much work has been done on it. The staff has been quite friendly and courteous. I will continue to play there.
Greens brown
The greens are being prepared for a change in size, so we are told they need to allow greens to go dormant or die before re sizing. If you should play the course I would say 2 putt max. I wouldn't recommend during this period.
What happened to Willowbrook?
What happened to the greens? They no longer exist on most holes. The greens are 100% burnt down to the dirt on most holes. Like putting on gravel!
The tee boxes are in decent shape and the fairways are also decent, but the rough areas appear like they have not been cut down in weeks.
I like this course and really like the people there, but this was NOT a good experience for the money (Similar to other courses in the area) I will go elsewhere for better conditions for a while.
Greens have been destroyed
All the greens have been killed, and are unplayable, I was told that the greens are going to be redone this summer, timeline as to when they will start or when they will finish was unknown.
Great track
From tee to green, awesome, lush fairways and tees. Greens rolled great, only one bad green all day , need water, very dry burnt out, still puttable
Very nice public course
Course is in very good shape. It’s a long course but I enjoy playing it. I play it many times and they keep it up very well.
Great local course
A very well laid out course with plenty of challenges, also has wonderful nature views. All helped by the most friendly of staff. Thanks, I really enjoyed our visit
Willow Brooke
First time playing the course and definitely worth the value.
Nice layout, old style course with elevated greens and tree lined fairways.
We enjoyed the course and will play again.
Good course
I have played this course many times. I will say it’s the best conditions I’ve seen in a long time. I do feel it’sa bit expensive for the course but it’sa nice course and I’ll play again.
